Hartford, Wis., April 11, 2008 – Installing a Broan® Ultra Silent™ Humidity Sensing fan just became easier for contractors with the new project packs available from Broan-NuTone, Hartford, Wis. The Humidity Sensing Fan features Sensaire® technology, which detects a rapid increase in humidity, not just levels at a given time. It also does so at the ceiling, where humidity is most prevalent, unlike typical wall-mounted humidistats, which only detect simple humidity.
The Broan QTRE100S humidity sensing fan is automatic – once there is a rapid rise in humidity within the room, the fan will automatically turn on to exhaust excess moisture and turn off after 20 minutes.
The project packs have two components which combine to form one complete unit, the HQTS4 (four pack of housings only) and the FQTRE (a single finish pack). In combination, they offer the convenience of not having to disassemble, store and possibly damage or lose the post-drywall components until needed.
The QTRE100S operates at 1.5 Sones and exhausts 100 CFM. It also features 4-inch ducting and a three-year warranty. On average, ENERGY STAR fans, such as this one, use 65 percent less energy than standard models and may qualify for local utility rebates.
