  • Roof matching domes means ventilation is less noticeable.

Too often, attic ventilation is overlooked, not to mention ignored as a place for energy savings. That’s where Broan solutions make sense. Consider this: air trapped in your attic can easily reach 150 degrees or more. With Broan ventilation solutions, it’s still a full 60 degrees cooler in the attic on a 90 degree day. That’s why attic ventilation is critical to making any home more comfortable while lowering energy costs. Air conditioners can run less and won’t have to work as hard. Humid, stagnant air can be removed, drawing fresh dry air across the surfaces. Your attic can be drier and cooler – the perfect tools to help fight potential moisture damage.

Each PVC dome is available in three popular performance ratings along with two metal dome models. Select one that best suits the attic size and shingle color.

  • Effective attic ventilation requires air to exit at or near the peak of the roof and replacement air to be drawn in under the eaves of the house, via soffit venting. The Home Ventilating Institute (HVI) recommends that powered attic ventilators provide at least 10 air changes per hour to equalize attic temperature.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Much Improved Product This model replaced an older Broan ventilator installed around 15 years ago. This newer model is much quieter, has a better thermostat adjustment and is definitely more efficient. March 10, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Easy to install and relatively quiet This power ventilator is rather easy to install on a cool day. A cool day is easier on the installer and on the shingles. This ventilator was installed in the early spring with the temperature setting on about 100. As a consequence, it did not operate until several months later. One evening I noted a noise on the roof and sure enough the power ventilator was operating as it should. Later in the evening it was OFF. As it is now March 2014, the unit is OFF and very quiet.
