How are the electrical components in this hood shielded from the heat of the grill? I have seen this fail (melt) in other brands.
In the Proline grill vent hood, the electrical components were cased in a plastic box, which melted after a couple of months of service. This left the electrical components of the hood (relays, capacitors, etc.) exposed to the smoke and heat of the grill, and they subsequently failed.
How are these components shielded from the grill heat in this model?
Thank you for your question on the Broan EPD6160SS Range Hood. The electronics of the EPD6160SS is located above the Stainless steel light housing assembly and hidden. This will help and protect from the heat and smoke because it is not visible. If you have Further questions please contact Technical Support directly at 800-637-1453.
