Rated 1 out of 5 by Hate it This thing is cheap. The rocker switch for the lights broke after six months. It only works in the 0 and 2 positions.one of the four light sockets doesn't work. It burns through the bulbs every four months and they are next to impossible to get in and out of the sockets and the bulbs cost about $10 for a three pack. I clean the screens regularly but it still drips grease all over the top of my stove. November 2, 2014

Thank you for your question on the range hood bulbs. At the present time the only bulbs we can recommend for our products are the bulbs listed in the installation instructions.

    LED Bulb replacements

I read your response that at this time Broan cannot recommend any LED replacement bulbs for this unit. Could you tell me why? I too just purchased this hood, and I would really like to consider LED bulbs. The efficiency (and lack of heat) is much better with an LED. It seems like I can find an LED replacement. There a many available. Is there a safety issue with the LED replacement? General specs would be helpful. Also - I cannot find the length and diameter of the recommended halogen GU10 bulb. Is this something you could provide? Thanks.

    Answer:
Thank you for your question on LED replacement bulbs. The only bulbs that we can recommend are the bulbs that were U.L. tested with the units. Use of any other bulbs would constitute a modification of the product and legally we cannot suggest modifying the products. Please contact the Technical Service Department at 800-637-1453 for further assistance.

    Answer:
Thank you for your question on the QP series of range hoods. To remove the light bulb you would push in on the bulb and turn counterclockwise approximately ½ inch. The bulb should then drop from the socket. To replace the bulb you would align the pins on the bulb with the large diameter opening inside the socket. Push the bulb into place and turn clockwise until firmly seated. For further assistance please contact the Technical Service Department at 800-637-1453.
