    Thank you for your question on the model BD4, pressure relief damper. When used as a fresh air inlet, it should be located at least 18" above grade or 12" above snow line (whichever is greater). It should be at least 6 feet away from a pollution or odor source such as driveways, furnace, and other exhaust hoods, gas meters, oil fill pipes, garbage cans etc...Should you have further questions, please contact our Technical Support Department directly at 800-637-1453.
