Rated 5 out of 5 by Range Hood We are enjoying the quality, performance, and look of this range hood. I was glad that I purchased the professional install as it was more work than I thought it would be. It would have been nice if the 4 Halogen lights and 2 chacoal filters were included, rather than having to purchase them extra. April 28, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Under cabinet range hood A great product. It is very quiet and very efficient. It also has a nice appearance and easy to clean. We used LED lighting which is more efficient. April 26, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by could use an LED bulb instead of the halogen I don't use the under light so much since I have a lot of lighting in my kitchen, but it is very bright when I do use it. I've not used the fan much yet. I don't really get too hot using the recommended halogen bulb, but I believe an LED would have been better? Easy to clean!!!!! and it looks very nice with all my other stainless steel appliances thank you April 26, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good range hood Overall, this is a pretty good product. I had to replace the switch after a year of use, but I called the company and they sent a replacement free of charge. Also, the smoke does billow out from the sides a bit. Other than that, it's not a bad value for the price. March 30, 2016
Rated 3 out of 5 by Looks good - works OK Looks very impressive. Sometimes it seems to blow more smoke around than it actually sucks up. October 19, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Disapointed in volume of air it moves The rest of the unit I have no problems with. Like the lighting it puts on the stove is great, vent screens covering the entire underside is good. The unit just down not move a lot of air fast, even with a wide open window 6' away. It ducts straight up from the 10" rectangular outlet to 6" round. I had a 30 yr old Broan hood that had 2 squirrel cage fans on each end & that moved huge air. This one single fan just doesn't measure up. -RJK October 16, 2015
Rated 3 out of 5 by broken light swtich My biggest complaint is the light switch lasted just over a year. Replacing it will cost me $19.82 plus extra for shipping. The switch is made with cheap plastic and has an awful design of breaking in another year which can become costly over the years! I use the switches on a daily basis, they should be made more sturdy to last longer!! July 27, 2015
Rated 3 out of 5 by this product has not good we use it for only 8 months the blower switch is broken! July 24, 2015

  • Can the QP130 be installed non-ducted? Do I need to order a recirculating kit or different filters?

    Asked by: Anonymous
Yes, it can be installed in a non-ducted fashion. The design has a small sheet metal strip in the front that slides to a side (need to remove a screw or two) and allows the fan to vent back into the room. Please do not remove any knock out sheet metal strips on the main unit....other than the one you require for your electrical connection.

The light switch on my Evolution 1, QP 130, QP 136 series range hood has failed. I plan to do the replacement myself. How do I do it?

I plan to replace my defective light switch with the Broan replacement part that I have ordered through my dealer. How to I remove the original switch. I have the cover plate on the back side removed and have access to the switch, but I can't see if it is pressed on or if it has a screw and nut assembly. Please help and also give any other information on this task that you can. Thanks
