Good product overall
Fan is a good product, it removes odors and smoke well. The fan on low speed is hard to hear and you can hold a conversation without even noticing the fan is on. The high speed setting is noisy, but is clears the smoke and heat fast. Good looks and construction, I use Broan for all my house and bathroom fans.

Bent out of shape
Great Product but...
The product came on time but was bent in two places. Back right corner extremely bad. Due to time constraints was not able to return. Had to reshape as best I could with hammer and other tools.

I would recogmend to buy.
Fit old spot perfectly, two fan speeds, easy to install and looks very much like the one we replaced only much cleaner.

This product is a great value for the price.
I was looking for a new, reasonably priced range hood that matched my older Broan hood being replaced, along with my range and other appliances. The Broan name stood out for me because of its reliable, high quality, durable products. This product is not top of the line and has basic features, but it's exactly what I was looking for at an affordable price. It matches my other appliances (bisque isn't so easy to find anymore) and is attractive to look at. The lighting is generous, and there is easy access to the light bulb and filter.

Very poor choice, even for the price, it was not worth what I paid;
It was not the easiest to install and the fan motor was too loud. Only one setting on light and it was not adequate. The fan would sound like it was trying to stop and then would speed up. The fan eventually quit working as it has worn out the plastic that it is made of. Would not recommend this model for any installation. Should be discontinued and improved upon for a new model.

Great exhaust fan for the money
I purchased this reasonably price fan in monochromatic white as a replacement for an old kitchen exhaust. The installation took about an hour since we had to make a few adjustments to get it to fit the outside vent. I've been using it for a little over a year without any problems. I used a 23W compact fluorescent lamp instead of the recommended 75W incandescent and the lighting is brilliant! The dual speed works great especially on high and really clears out any fumes generated from cooking. I would definitely recommend this fan.

Good product for the value
The pruchase was smooth, product arrived in the time quoted. Quality is pretty good and the size and dimension as advertised. The fan at high speed is relatively quiet. I did have technical difficulties to getting the light to work but I think it has to do with my building wiring. Overall a good product, easy install, good instructions.

My broan 4300 under Cabinet hood Light and fan stopped working at the same time.
Is there a fuse or breaker? Everything else in the kitchen works.
I think the bulb might be bad, are the light and fan on the same circuit?
Thank you for your question on the model 4300 series range hood. There is no fuse inside the hood and the fan and lights should operate independent of each other. Normally if both functions go out at the same time, the problem is a power supply issue. Please contact the Technical Service Department at 800-637-1453 for further assistance.

Does this come with BP87 dampers?
The listing states BP87 dampers sold separately, but under the specifications it says: Damper Included - Yes.
Can you please clarify whether this is a separate damper and whether the damper is necessary to buy separately?
The 43000 series includes a 3 1/4” x 10”, rectangular duct/damper assembly. The majority of these hoods are installed using this type of duct. If you require that the hood be installed with 7” round duct, the BP87 is available for sale, through our distribution. A local dealer can provide a price quote and availability for you. To locate a dealer in your area, please visit our website, www.broan.com and click on the Dealer Locator tab. The part number to order from our website is 97010792 and cost is $22.30 each. What's the vent cover for? Am I supposed to remove it ever?
Thank you for your question on the model 433604 range hood. If you are ducting the range hood to the outside, you would use the vent cover. If you are using the range hood as a non-ducted application, you would remove the vent cover.
