  • QB130SS is rated 3.0 out of 5 by 3.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Lights are too hot. Should be allowed to use LED lights. The halogen lights are too hot at just 35watrs. I am visually impaired and need bright light but limited to 35watts and Brian does not allow a brighter halogen and they do not allow LED's as an option.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poorly engineered, returned to vendor. This range hood suffers from poor design engineering and quality control despite its $250 price tag. 1) The impeller design is molded plastic and although it appears to have a small counter weight balance from the factory, the impeller molding is not quite perfectly round (visibly noticeable) and thus has some unnecessary vibration contributing to noise. 2) the flap that passively opens with air flow resonates audibly at the highest speed setting, the noise is slight from a few feet away, but not acceptable. 3) it is extremely difficult to install/remove the flush mounted MR16 G10 base halogen lights. The rubber tool included could not apply the force necessary to rotate the bulb in the socket, once you finally found the pin holes. There is nothing to hold on to. I had to use two straight blade screw drivers and spent over 15 minutes trying to install lights. Very frustrating. 4) the plastic blower housing had some air leaks around the wiring and the blower housing was not entirely sealed to the stainless steel case in a few places, reducing the effectiveness of the air flow. 5) the plastic electrical junction box was far too small for even a childs fingers. As an engineer, I pay attention to all of these things and expect higher build quality. The design looks great and install instructions are decent. The fan is powerful enough for a normal size range. It is quiet at the low and medium speed settings. I do like the large and easy to remove/clean filters. The controls are simple to operate. However, after spending 2+ hours on the installation, it will be going back to the vendor. I cannot recommend this range hood to anyone.

can not get bulb out of light panel QB130SS fan how do i get light panel off of fan what kind of screw driver do i need

    Asked by: angry bird
Thank you for your question on the QB1 range hood. You do not need to remove the light panel to change the bulb. We have included a suction cup tool with the purchase of your hood. Attach the suction cup to the bulb, push in and turn counterclockwise to remove the old bulb. You can also use a rubber jar opener or rubber glove to give you a better grip on the bulb. For more assistance, please contact our Technical Support directly at 800-637-1453.
