I bought an inline blower that I put in the attic. This combo is superfluous powerful and quiet! The fan on the oven is about twice as loud as this setup.

Quality product, quite, effective
This unit was not originally offered to me, but prior experience with Broan products caused me to ask if an appropriate Broan exhaust could be ordered. It cost less than the other brands offered and has proven to be an excellent investment after 4+ years. I am sure I will get many more years of service from this unit.

Great look for money
This hood works great in our application with a 1200cfm external blower. Really pulls smoke and odors out of the kitchen.

Can I use a ductless option with this insert?
Long story, but the way my kitchen is, there is no way for me to duct outside without it being a major eyesore (vent would have to be in a very visible place on my barrel tile roof and I have no attic to workaround with an elbow, etc). Can I use one of the ductless kits with this insert? If so, which one(s)? Thanks!
Thank you for your question on the model RMIP45 kitchen exhaust system. We do not offer a non-ducting option with this unit. Please contact the Technical Service Department at 800-637-1453 if you need further assistance.

Does this fit into my 54" wall mount solid copper range hood which is 11" high on the bottom and being gradually reduced to 30" on top
The company that I bought the Hood from (Signature Hardware) , recommended an insert from the " Universal Metal Industries Inc. " model # VSL 448-6 BF . I am not sure if the Broan model # RMIP45 is going to fit into my hood , because the insert is 11.5" high , and I have to add a 54" W liner that is also another 4" high. Please let me know which one of your products would work with my hood. Thanks. Tom
Thank you for your question on the model RMIP45 range hood insert. From your description, the RMIP45 will not fit your application. Please contact the Technical Service Department at 800-637-1453 for assistance with possible solutions.

Can this fit a wood hood that is 18" deep & 48" wide? Do I need a liner?
Thank you for your question on the RMIP45 hood insert. Width-wise this model will fit. The depth may be an issue. We have included the specifications for this model. A liner is an option, but not a necessity. It is designed to finish off the bottom of the insert and protect the inside of the cabinet. Please contact our Technical Support Department for more assistance at 800-637-1453.

The p5 blower will be good inside the RMIP33? I am getting a custom hood built to replace a microwave vented to the outside over the cooktop.
Cook top is a 36 inch 6 burner kitchen aid .
Thank you for your question on the RMIP33 and P5 blower. Yes, the P5 is compatible with the RMIP33 insert. To determine how many cfm’s that your range hood should be, you will need to know the total number of BTU’s from your stove. Add up the number of BTU’s from all the burners and divide the total by 100. The result will give you the minimum number of cfm’s that you need to properly ventilate your stove. Add 200 cfm’s for any grille or griddle. This is the best place to start when searching for the proper range hood/blower size.

What could be the problem as our motors shut off for no apparent reason?
Thank you for your question on the model number RWIP33 range hood insert. The motor has a thermal overload which will automatically shut off the motor if it becomes overheated. The motor will restart when it cools down. Please contact the Technical Service Department at 800-637-1453 for further assistance.
