4I have a broan vent fan model 761bn It has been installed about 16 months. The light no longer works and I can't get the shade off too check. The hook that should slide is frozen. I have sprayed it with liquid wrench now I have a mess and still can't remove. I am very disappointed in this unit. The light is too dim and fan is noisy. Now I can't replace bulbs.

Thank you for your question on the model 761BN exhaust fan/light. The only way to remove the glass shade is to pull out the spring loaded hook. Please contact the Technical Service Department at 800-637-1453 for assistance.

Does 754RB have an adaptor kit for verticle instillation?

Bought the fan at Menard's thought the exhaust vent piece came out of the top of the fan. Need to adapt the side exhaust vent to go to the original vent in the roof. The old fan/light has the exhaust vent on top which connects into a duct to be vented out of the roof.

I really liked the display model in the store and it will look beautiful in my spare bathroom. Is there anything that can be done? Otherwise will take it back for a refund.

Thank you for your question on the model 754RB exhaust fan/light. There is no option to vent this unit out of the top. It vents out of the side only.

    Answer:
Thank you for your question on the model 741WH exhaust fan/light. The globe on the bottom of the 741 is not held in place with springs. You need to remove the finial nut and cap from the bottom of the globe and the globe should come down from the unit. The installation instructions are available for download from our web site so you can see how it goes together.

    Answer:
Thank you for your question on the model 757SN exhaust fan/light. You can use the 757SN with a single switch and have the light and fan both come on at the same time. Connect the house bare ground wire to the 757 grounding screw. Wire both of the white wires from the 757 to the house white neutral wire. Connect the black and blue wires from the 757 to the hot power wire coming from your wall switch.

    Answer:
Thank you for your question on the model 761BN exhaust fan/light. The spring loaded hooks will give a good amount of resistance since they are designed to hold the lens in place, but they should not be too difficult to use. Please contact the Technical Service Department at 800-637-1453 for assistance.
