Our fan wheel for our 70 cfm bathroom fan had a meltdown. The motor is OK, if not a little noisy, so I wanted to just replace the wheel (number stamped on wheel is 82403000). I did not see any wheels in the catalog, but the motor/wheel would be acceptable. The online catalog would not allow me to buy it and the only one we found at the hardware store (Lowes) is too tall to spin freely. Can I order the BP28 online or purchase it somewhere in New Mexico?

    Answer:
To locate a distributor in your area, please use the dealer locator on our website www.broan.com.

However, you can order the motor/blower wheel assembly online on our website www.broan.com by going to the "Shop For Parts" area. The part number you would need to order is 97008513.

    Answer:
I don't trust Lowes for parts like this anymore. I went to get a replacement motor for my Broan/Nutone C350B fan and they sold me an "exact replacement" for it. The motor was the complete opposite of what I needed and couldn't be mounted unless I wanted to rebuild it. It was the only one they stocked as well. I found the exact replacement AND chassis for it on a major online company for a few dollars more than just the motor alone at Lowes.

    Answer:
Thank you for your question on the model 668 and 679. There should be a data plate up inside the unit housing that will have the model number listed on it. For further assistance please contact our Technical Service Department at 800-637-1453.

    Answer:
The BP28 would not be compatible with the 679-E fan. The correct motor assembly part number for this model is 97015165 and cost is $42.58 each. This can be ordered on the Broan website at www.broan.com or via our customer service at 1-800-558-1711.

    Answer:
Thank you for your question on the model number 679 exhaust fan/light. The replacement blower assembly for the 679 is part number 97015165 and the grille is part number 97013974. Both of these can be ordered through the “Shop for Parts” link at the top of our web site page. The BP28 is the correct motor and blower wheel for the 679-A unit.

    Answer:
Thank you for your question on the model number BP28. The blower wheel will force fit onto the motor. If the blower wheel is loose, either it is defective or the wrong one for the motor. Please contact the Technical Service Department at 800-637-1453 for further assistance.
