  • The RP2 series is part of BROAN's newest pro-style undercabinet hood collection, uniting stylish appearance with tremendous value. The deep 9 in. height provides excellent capture of cooking grease and odor, whether vented to the exterior, or installed to recirculate air through optional charcoal filters. Optional non-duct recirculation kit available with charcoal filters sold separately.

    • Two-speed Rocker switch control lets you select the proper speed for what you are cooking
    • 440 CFM at 7.0 Sones on high setting, 120 CFM at 0.5 Sones on low setting
    • Two halogen lamps (designed for bulbs up to 50 W, GU10 bulbs purchase separately) light up the cooktop and surrounding area. Two-level light control gives you unmatched visibility
    • Mesh grease filters with Antimicrobial Protection are dishwasher-safe. The coating inhibits the growth of odor causing bacteria and protects the filter so it stays cleaner in between cleanings. Your kitchen stays fresher longer
    • This hood is adaptable to recirculation applications with the addition of Optional Non-Duct Recirculation Kit NDK35836SS for installations where ducting to the exterior is not possible
    • Heat Sentry™ is a smart feature that detects excessive heat and adjusts speed to high automatically to prolong product life
    • Non-Duct Filter 88F required for non-ducted installations, purchased separately

  • Charcoal filter for RP230SS

The 88F does not work as a charcoal filter for the RP230SS. I would like to know what part number to order. I would to order the charcoal filter which the aluminum mesh filter snaps into. I bought the Broan NDK35830SS to go with the RP230SS and Lowes sent me the filter 88F and it is too small for the RP230SS. Thank you.
    Asked by: shipahoy
Thank you for your follow-up question. The RP2 aluminum filters measure 9-7/8" x 11-11/16". The 88F (part number 97007662) measures 10" x 11-3/4". You will need to slide the aluminum filter beneath the tabs on the non-ducted filter. Make sure the finger ring faces outward. Install filters into the hood with the aluminum filter facing outward. You can find this information in the non-ducted filter kit installation instructions. If you need more assistance, please contact Technical Support directly at 800-637-1453.

Can the RP230SS be wall mounted instead of under cabinet mount? Are there mounting holes in the back as well as on top? Lowes labels as wall mountable

Do you have a link or exact model number for the wall bracket kit? Can't find it on your website. Thanks.

Is the AP1 and the RP2 non-ducted filter kit the same? My range hood is the RP26SS and I need to order the non-ducted recirculating kit.

    Asked by: Anonymous
Thank you for your question on the RP236SS range hood. The AP1 and RP2 series both use the same non-ducted filter. The correct part number is 97007662 and would include two. These can be ordered from our Customer Service Department at 800-558-1711 or under the Shop for Parts link on our website.

Is the 3-1/4 X 10" duct convertible to a 7" round vertical duct?

I just special ordered this Broan RP230SS range hood from Lowes and the sales assistant told me that it should come with a converter so that I can vent it to a 7" round vertical duct. I just wanted to make sure this is true since I don't see it in the specs here. It only shows that the hood comes with a 3-1/4 X 10" duct.

Thank you for your question on the model RP230SS range hood. The output from the RP230SS range hood will only accept a 3-1/4” x 10” duct, but you can purchase a transition that will go from 3-1/4” x 10” to 7” round (our model number 412H).
