    The EW56 range hood can be converted to non-ducted. You will need to purchase the non-ducted kit for this model. The model number for the non-ducted kit is RKE56. The non-ducted kit will include the non-ducted filters. These filters cannot be washed and should be replaced every 6-9 months. When you are ready to replace the non-ducted filters, the part number to order is 99010365.

    How do the scones equate to decibles based on the 3 speeds on this model?

    I am not familiar with scones but I am with decibels. I am curious how loud the fan is based on dB at each speed.

    Thank you for your question on the model EW5630SS range hood. I’m sorry, but the Home Ventilation Institute measures the sound level of exhaust fans in sones and not db. Sone levels are a linier scale and one sone is approximately equivalent to a running, modern day refrigerator. Please contact our Technical Service Department with any further questions 800-637-1453.

    Is there a recommended amount of space between the glass canopy and a wall cabinet that would be installed next to it? 1" away? 3" away?
