Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy install, very quiet Decided on this unit to replace old Broan fan in bathroom. Great decision on my part. The fan was easily installed and so quiet its almost hard to hear. I highly recommend this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This product has everything i needed in a bathroom This was the best investment i made. The produce was very easy to install and the sound level was so low you could hardly here it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Does the job. Had this fan installed because builder fan was too small to vent moisture from large master bath. Also needed six inch ductwork with insulation to eliminate condensation. However, the four pin fluorescent light bulb in this unit is a major shortcoming. It is difficult and expensive to replace particularly in a bathroom with a high ceiling. Surely the product can be designed with an easy to replace bulb. To get the thing out one must disconnect the grill from the fan blower housing. Really bad inefficient design.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Will buy another Bought this while remodeling my master bathroom and was worth every penny!! Very quite and does a great job moving air. I take very hot showers and you can't even tell with this fan. Will be getting another one for my other bathroom. Only problem was with the flapper that keeps from having back flow but one call and a replacement part was on its way!!

Can this model be retro fitted ?

    Asked by: VR
Yes, and if your vent hose distance to the outside is within 10-15' (with no tight bends) you are good to drop from the 6" hose down to 4". This is per Broan tech. support.

How can I adjust the humidity sensor settings?

I have a QTXE080 C - seems to run frequently when there's very low humidity - such as in middle of winter nights. Can the unit be adjusted to a higher humidity threshold before it turns itself on?
    Asked by: dan
Thank you for your question on the model QTXE080 exhaust fan. The QTXE080 does not have a humidity sensor. On the fans that do include a humidity sensor, the humidity can be adjusted with a small flat bladed screwdriver from inside the unit housing. Please contact the Technical Service Department at 800-637-1453 for further assistance.

Can I use a 4 in. duct with the QTXE080 fan?

    Asked by: James
Thank you for your question on the Broan QTXE080. The use of 4" duct with the model QTXE080 will not adversely affect safety or reliability of the product. Air delivery will be somewhat reduced and the sound level will be higher. If you have further questions please contact our Technical Support directly at 800-637-1453.

Fans come on and turn off automatically

We have QTXE080-C fans in the bathrooms of a townhouse we're renting. They come on and turn off at random times day and night. Wondering why this is if this model does not have a humidity sensor?
    Asked by: Rick
Thank you for your question on the model QTXE080 exhaust fan. There is nothing inside the QTXE080 that can turn the unit on and off by itself. It would seem that the unit is connected to a timer somewhere. You may want to have an electrician check this out.
