Rated 5 out of 5 by great fan Very easy to install. Great help from a Braon Rep. (via phone) to make this even quieter & mor efficient. Hardly hear it run. This fan has cleared up an on-going moisture problem in the bathroom at shower time. July 7, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Relatively Quiet and Moves more air than the builder grade I don't know that I would agree that this fan is very quiet. But it is quieter and moves more air than the builder grade fan that we got with the house. Part of the problem with the noise from the fan might be due to the vaulted ceiling in the bathroom, Since it doesn't sit level it seems it rocks a little bit that may cause the extra noise. I definitely recommend using a timer switch for any bathroom fan. It's nice to be able to set it to 10 minutes on the way out so it will continue to suck the moisture out after you've left the bathroom but will automatically shut off. March 13, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Work great. The pin type light bulbs are a bit harder to find. However, the unit is quiet and exhausts the humidity very well. March 11, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by simple to install and very quiet simple to install and very quiet working well; i purchased two fans; two separate bathroom to address moisture from showering March 10, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Quiet and easy to install This unit came with good instructions and was easy to install. I installed this in my newly renovated bathroom and it is so quiet that you can hardly tell when it's on. With the Leviton electronic timer it is perfect for this application. March 10, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by The fan is much more quiet than previous fan and has worked well for 2 plus years. Fan works well as advertised. I would purchase this fan again. February 20, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Outstanding Product No problems very quiet, easy installation, easy to keep clean. February 20, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Product has great features not found on many competetors for the same price Fairly easy installation if joist spacing is adequate and power is redily available. Runs quietly and has ample exhaust and heating power. March 4, 2013

    Answer:
Thank you for your question on the model QTXE150 exhaust fan. You can mount this unit in a ceiling with up to a 12/12 pitch (45 degree angle), but this unit cannot go in a wall.

I recently changed the original setup on the SMSC080 switch as my fan was turning on almost all the time. I set it to 90CFM (original setting) for my bathrooms but now the fan almost never turn on automatically (It goes 8-10 hrs before turning on briefly).
    What should I set it?

    Answer:
Thank you for your question on the model QTXE110 exhaust fan. We do not have the static pressure for .3, but at .25 static pressure the QTXE110 will have 102 CFM when installed with six inch rigid duct work. For further assistance please contact the Technical Service Department at 800-637-1453.

Thank you for your question on the bath and ventilation fans. All of our exhaust fans offer a back draft damper to help prevent the outside air from getting back into the house.

    Answer:
This fan can be installed in either existing or new construction. Some customers use the word retrofit in terms of replacing parts on an existing unit. Please contact our Tech Support team (phone #) and they can assist you if that is your intent.

    Answer:
Yes, and if your vent hose distance to the outside is within 10-15' (with no tight bends) you are good to drop from the 6" hose down to 4". This is per Broan tech. support.
