Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Product Excellent exhaust fan. Have one of these in each of our bathrooms now and love them! Can sit in our jet tub as long as we want, and with this vent on, the vanity mirrors do not even steam up. We installed it when we had our bathroom remodeled due to mold issues. Don't think we will ever have to worry about mold again! I can also smoke a cigarette in the bathroom and not have to go outside in the freezing weather. This vent takes the smoke out immediately. Love it! Received excellent customer service from this company - good communication, well packaged, and fast shipped!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ultra quiet and powerful We have clients using the Broan L-300 and the Greenheck SP-A290 both are rated at 300 cfm and about 2.8 sones. However, for some reason the Greenheck is super loud compared to the Broan.

  • How many square feet will the L300 cover? Example Will the L300 cover a 10 foot by 10 foot bathroom??

    Asked by: Anonymous
Thank you for your question regarding the L300. The formula we use to determine proper CFM is to take the volume of the room (Length x Width x Ceiling Height) and multiply that number by 0.13. This will give you the CFM needed to perform 8 air changes/hour in that room space. You can then use that number to find a unit that will meet your requirements. If you need further assistance with this, please call Technical Support at 1-800-637-1453.

Use for venting an indoor pool (7'x14')

Can this unit (L300) be used for venting the room when the cover is off (Room is 16x18x10)? If so can the unit be wall mounted (2x6 wall) and vented directly outside.? And controlled by a wall switch (on/off)
    Asked by: Anonymous
Thank you for your question on the L300. We would not recommend this model for the type of environment you have described. The L300 is too small for the size of the indoor pool room you have supplied. You would need something more in the 700-800 cfm range. The L300 would not fit into a 2x6 wall. We would suggest that you contact our Technical Support Department directly for other recommendations at 800-637-1453.

Which wall cap goes with this unit. Would like one that has built in bird cage and spring loaded damper

    Asked by: Anonymous
Thank you for your question on the model L300 exhaust fan. The wall cap we usually recommend for the L300 is the model 643. It has a built-in gravity damper. We do not have an 8” wall cap with a bird screen and spring loaded damper.
