    Broan Damper Flap Replacement Part

    I have an old Broan 663-B/688-B A-Housing 8″ x 8-1/4″ and the damper flap hing broke. Where can I find a replacement? Possibly made of metal this time but anything will do.

    Thank you for your question on the model 689K exhaust fan. The simplest solution would be to replace the internal fan assembly (motor mounting bracket, motor and blower wheel). The part number of the fan assembly is 97012027 and can be purchased through the “Shop for Parts” link at the top of our web site page.

    I have the older 663C/668C model that produces loud noises when running. I'd like to try cleaning it before buying any replacement parts. What is the process to clean the motor and blower? I also have the 162-C model that I'd like to clean out as well.

    Thank you for your question on the model 663C/668C exhaust fans. You would need to remove the grille assembly and you should also remove the fan assembly from the unit housing for cleaning. Please contact the Technical Service Department at 800-637-1453 for assistance.

    Thank you for your question on the model 688 exhaust fan. The 688 can have insulation against the sides and on top of the unit up to an R40 value.

    Thank you for your question on the model 671RB fan assembly. The 671RB is an internal fan assembly and it is available through our Customer Service Department at 800-558-1711. If you are looking for the complete unit, the 671R is still a current model.
