    Answer:
Thank you for your question on the model 689 exhaust fan. The 689 is designed for an interior room of approximately 55 square feet with an eight foot ceiling. It will vent a larger room but no very efficiently and would not usually be recommended for a garage.

    Answer:
Thank you for your question on the model 696N-B exhaust fan. The only parts available for the existing housing would be the original replacement parts. You can get replacement parts through the “Shop for Parts” link at the top of our web site page. Please contact the Technical Service Department at 800-637-1453 for further assistance.

What higher CFM models are compatible with a model 688 with an 8 x 8 1/4 inch housing?

I looked at the 690 upgrade kit but it does not work with a model 688 with an 8 x 8 1/4 inch housing. From looking on the old one it may be an "A" housing. The old one is actually a model 663-B/688-B. Are there options to upgrade this model and housing? Thanks.

    Answer:
There are several models in our product line that are higher CFM (than what you currently have) and have an 8" x 8 1/4"
housing size. The 676 is 110CFM and the 684 is 80CFM. You may view these on our website. If you need further assistance, please feel free to call our Technical Support group at 800-637-1453.

Will a model 671 (which is available at my local hardware store) fit directly into the same housing and be held by the same single screw. Is there a better model than the 671? Thanks.

    Answer:
Thank you for your inquiry. Although the 671 does use the same housing, the recommendation would be to install the "upgrade" kit, model 690. This kit will increase the airflow to 60CFM and provide a sound level of just 3.0 sones. If you need further assistance, please contact our Technical Support group at 800-637-1453.
