    Questions Regarding the BP87Q

Is this product suitable for your PM250 range hood which will be vented to the outside? Does the PM 250 require a Damper..... specs state one is build into the unit . (?) If this is to be installed, should it be installed vertical or horizontal? And finally, Can you ship direct? Not one of the listed dealers in town carries this item.

    Answer:
Thank you for your question on the model BP87Q multi pack of seven inch in-line gravity dampers. It is recommended that the PM250 have a back draft damper installed in the duct work or at least in the roof or wall cap where the duct work exits the house. The PM250 does not have a built-in back draft damper. The part number for this damper is 97010792 and can be purchased through the “Shop for Parts“ link at the top of our web site page.

    Answer:
Thank you for your question on the Allure QS1 series range hood. We have two different seven inch dampers available. The part number 97010792 is a gravity, in-line damper. The part number of 97018803 is an in-line damper with sound-dampening foam. You can get either one through the Customer Service Department at 800-558-1711.

    7 inch Round Damper

    Hello,
I bought a Broan QML30SS. The directions were unclear about needing a damper. If i purchase a Broan damper, do I still need to use the round damper plate that comes with the hood? I am trying to find a way to connect from the 7 inch damper to my 7 inch duct.

    Thank you

    Answer:
Thank you for your question on the model QML30SS range hood. The QML30SS comes with a back draft damper for 3-1/4” x 10” rectangular duct work. If you are using 7” round duct work you would attach the 7” round duct plate (that comes with the unit) to the top of the hood. This gives you someplace to connect the 7” round duct work from your house. We do recommend that you install a 7” round back draft damper (purchased separately) somewhere in the duct line or at the roof or wall cap where the duct exits the house.
