Rated 5 out of 5 by Best EVER ! ! ! A fan when you need it, a light when you need it - - other times it is almost out of sight, blending in with the cabinets. Even a tall 'chef' doesn't have to worry about banging their head. Totally love it - - and so does everyone that sees it - - when we point it out ! ! ! It is a bit more expensive than regular hood vents - - but then, this is NOT ordinary :) March 10, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Looks good but functions fairly. Had somebody install it. No idea how to clean the inside. Been changing the filter and wiping down the metal parts. I am not sure if that is enough. Liked that it is hidden in a cabinet but not sure if works enough. The smoke detector in the house turns on when my husband is cooking steak or baking?? But you can smell outside the food he is cooking also March 16, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Elegant & Functional We purchased our apartment condo right after it was built and the Broan Elite hood fan was there already and we couldn't be happier with the look of it and also the functionality. It's been more than a year now that I use this hood fan everyday since we are both big fans of cooking and baking and it has been great. Love the slide in design!!! August 20, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by great features but a little hard to install I replaced the older model slide out hood with this one. Much better lighting design than the old incandescents. Disappointing to have to hack up and modify my existing cabinet to properly hang this one when it should have been a drop in. The old one was 18 years old and the fan and motor still worked fine but the fan/light switch was balky and the lamps had melted their lenses with no replacements available. Love the variable speed fan so you can keep the noise down when you're just simmering something. Hate the cheap filters. modified my old metal ones to use instead. August 11, 2013

Existing range has downdraft vent in center of cooktop that vents down to floor, out exterior wall, runs 5 feet through garage, then outside. Plan to replace with new slide-in electric range. Want to install new range hood, duct it down, and connect into existing ductwork. Range and overhead cabinet layout do not allow for a typical hood that extends out beyond upper cabinet face.

    Answer:
Thank you for your question on the model 153001 range hood. The 153001 is designed to be ducted with 3-1/4” x 10” rectangular duct work. Using this duct, you can run the duct work for 15 feet straight (subtracting six feet for every elbow) without loss of performance. Using five inch duct work on this range hood will reduce the performance significantly. Please contact the Technical Service Department at 800-637-1453 if you need further assistance.

    Answer:
Thank you for your question on the model 153004 range hood. There is no adjustment on the installation of the damper duct adapter to the top of the hood, so you would need to adjust the current duct work to fit the hood.

    Answer:
Thank you for your question on the model 153604 range hood. The 153604 is designed to use 3-1/4” x 10” rectangular duct work. There are two adapters that could be used on this range hood to convert it to round. The model 411 will convert the 3-1/4” x 10” to 6” round. The model 412H will convert the 3-1/4” x 10” to 7” round.
