Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to install This is the best product I have purchased in a long time. I works great. It's quiet. People can't believe the the fan is on it is so quiet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ultra quiet and powerful We have clients using the Broan L-300 and the Greenheck SP-A290 both are rated at 300 cfm and about 2.8 sones. However, for some reason the Greenheck is super loud compared to the Broan.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Product This fan is unbelievably quiet despite being 2-3 times as powerful as a normal bath fan. I am never again getting a loud wimpy fan, as my wife now wants me to replace the other bath fans with one this quiet. I recommend this for a large bathroom, small bathrooms don't need as much power, but get something this quiet.

    Attic Access

Does this ventilator require attic access to replace an existing smaller ventilator? If so, any ways to mitigate the need to access through the attic? Or any recommendations for a high capacity ventilator, that does not require attic access?
    Asked by: Anonymous
Thank you for your question on the L200. You would need to make the hole in the ceiling larger in order to install this unit without attic access. You will need to be able to attach your duct work and attach the housing to the joists. It can be done, but would be difficult. Please give our Technical Support team a call at 800-637-1453 for further discussion.

Can I use this as a gable mounted ventilator, with air intake coming through the duct connector and blowing out the grille?

    Asked by: Anonymous
Thank you for your question on the model L200 exhaust fan. The L200 is designed as a room ventilator and to bring air in through the grille and out the duct connector only. The motor cannot be reversed and the unit was not designed to be a gable mounted attic ventilator.

Can I install this in a wall with the grill oriented vertically?

    Asked by: Anonymous
The L200 can be installed in a wall, however, the housing is 11 ¾” deep and therefore it will not fit in a normal 2” x 4” wall cavity. As long as this is taken into consideration, it should be fine.
