Hi I brought Broan 332H Exterior Blower and Broan E64E30SS 30" Under Cabinet Canopy Range. I installed them without the damper. But I can feel wind come in from the Range. I am wonder do I need to buy a 10" Round Damper. And what do I need to install the damper. Bests, Shawn

Thank you for your question on the model E64E30SS range hood and 332H exterior blower. The 332H exterior blower should have a back draft damper included with it. First check to make sure that it is working properly. It would also be a good idea to install a 10 inch damper in the duct work, close to where the duct work connects to the hood. Will this work in horizontal duct installations? What is the exact diameter?

    Asked by: Norm
Thank you for your question on the model 421 ten inch gravity fed back draft damper. The 421 is designed to work in-line with ten inch duct work, but it must be placed in vertical ducting to work properly. Please contact the Technical Service Department at 800-637-1453 if you need further assistance.

Is the 421 round damper needed if I am using the 437 Roof cap?

    Asked by: Jon
Thank you for your question on the model 421 in-line damper and the 437 roof cap. If you are using the 437 roof cap, you probably would not need the 421 damper.

is it possible to remove the vanes for cleaning?

difficult to reach the damper to clean grease off of the vanes; even more difficult to access from above
    Asked by: Ed
Thank you for your question on the Broan 421 inline damper. The vanes (damper flaps) on the 421 damper are not recommended to be removed. If you have further questions please contact Technical Support at 800-637-1453.
