Rated 5 out of 5 by from Looks Great and Performes Well My spouse seldom used our old vent hood because it was so loud. This new vent hood is low in noise unless you put it on super fast then it gives off a vibration with more noise. I truly appreciate the sensor that will turn on or keep the fan on if it senses the area is too warm. The four lights with the three different settings is great and gets used every day. I wanted to give the product a 5 star rating for all categories, but to me the product is somewhat expensive at the retail level. I did find a great sale price when I purchased this unit. The other area that gets hit a little is for effective smoke and odor removal. Yes the unit can remove most smoke and odor by the use of the higher fan speeds. The unit has the motor on one side so all the work of the fan comes from the left side of the fan. The right side filter does not do that much work. Even the manufacturer brings this to your attention in the owners book. I would think that with this expensive of a hood one could make the hood with a better draft ratio for both sides. I plan on rotating the filters, even after they get washed, to even out the work that each filter does.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Best feature combination available, but could be improved We selected this hood because it had the best combination of features available at the time. After using it for over 3 months, there are some picky things that continue to annoy me. Lighting is much brighter than it needs to be. I usually use the low setting, but don't see much difference between low, med and high settings. Also, halogens are hot and use much electricity. Hopefully, I can find LED replacements when they blow. Also, the filters are great, but do not fit easily in our 18" dishwasher. It would have been better to have 3 smaller filters covering the same area. Overall, a great product, but room for improvement...maybe some after-market upgrades could be made available.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great purchase great range hood. still going strong and no problems since i bought it several years back.had 1 problem once, lights wouldn't turn off after power outage. Googled the problem and it was a easy fix.its sill working great today

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Quiet, looks nice, exhausts primarily from left side Fan & motor are pretty quiet. Unit looks nice even though it's assembled with silicone caulk, double stick tape and pop rivets. Lighting is great. Despite statements to the contrary in the unit manual, having the fan motor on the left side means that except at very high fan speeds the hood exhausts mostly from the left side and the steam from a pot on the right will rise into the room, not be vented outside.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Problem with the Fan Have the unit for a little over a year and the Fan does not go on when any of the setting are pushed. I can hear the fan motor start and immediately clicks off. Eventually, with repeated pressing of the button, it may start on the low and medium setting, the green light goes on respectively. At the high setting, no light , nor does the fan go on. What is the warranty on this unit. It was pretty pricey compared to other models we looked at, so I'm hoping the warranty is longer than 1 year to match the cost.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from High performing range hood Halogen lights provide plenty of illumination even on the low setting. Fan does a pretty good job. Even on low it is better than the one it replaced. High setting is pretty loud, but it is moving a lot of air. Have had to replace the control panel shortly after the unit was installed. Nice appearance and easy to clean.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Lighting a big problem.... Can the halogen light bulbs be replaced with LEDs? The halogen bulbs put out an extraordinary amount of heat. Very unhappy with this heat issue. If there is an LED replacement please provide the part number so I can buy it. Also, I have read if there is a power outage the the lights come on automatically. Since we are away from our house in the summer does this mean we have to unscrew all 4 light bulbs every time we leave? Please advise. Hope we don't have to have it uninstalled and returned...........

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Light is always on after a power outage After a recent power outage for just 10 seconds, the lights automatically turned on and there is no way to turn it off including the fan as the control module thinks it is under a power surge. The product has not been tested enough to withstand basic use conditions.

    LED Lighting

Can LED lights of of the same type and mount be used to replace the Halogen lights?
    Asked by: cooktop
If everything (socket ) is compatible, I would think so. But being a frugal guy I would wait til the halogen bulbs burn out because it would be expensive to replace & throw away good bulbs. Remember halogen bulb light is directional, so the proper reflector is important .
