    Can this be retrofitted into existing HVAC ductwork?

    Thank you for your question on the model ERV250TE energy recovery ventilator. There are a couple of different installation options available with the ERV250TE and one of them is to retrofit into existing HVAC ductwork. The installation instructions are available for download from our web site and they show this option. Please contact the Technical Service Department at 800-637-1453 if you need further assistance.

    What is the dB rating of the unit in operation?

    We have a customer who is very concerned about noise. We need to know how loud this unit is when fan is operating.

    Dampers question

    Do the balancing dampers close completely when the unit is off(or recirculating)? If so, is this sufficient to prevent any substantial amount of unwanted air flow? Are external motorized dampers needed for fresh air port?
