Rated 5 out of 5 by from Complete kit! Excellent product that completes the install of a bathroom exhaust fan.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from For Master Bath The Master Bath has a window but cannot use in the Winter. Installation was ok. The trips back and forth to the attic was a bother. Fan draws out the moisture. Purchased a higher priced product to get the lower sound decib as bathroom is very small. Works really well.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Conflicting information? This kit comes with flex pipe. Q & A number 6 from Broan customer service on this website advises to use rigid ductowrk when connecting to exhaust fans. Considering that this product is advertised as an bath and ventilation fan, can you enumerate as to why you include flex pipe with the product?

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Why don't you make a 6" collar for your 6" ducted fans? For bathroom exhaust fan applications, studies have shown that a 6" duct has much less resistence than a 4" duct, thus maintaining the CFM output. In fact, your most efficient line of fans come with a 6" duct. Good weatherization practices require a secure attachment to a dedicated roof vent. Why not make a roof vent with a 6" collar. For that matter, why not also make a roof vent with 7" collar for your range hood fans?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from added bonus Our original exhaust fan was installed with no external excess to the roof, this was really essential to our needs. And the kit came with everything we needed to install.

  • Roof vent insulated duct

Do you sell your roof vent kit with insulated duct?
    Asked by: James
Thank you for your question on the model RVK1A roof vent kit. We do not sell any roof kits with insulated duct work. We do sell a model DT4W (for 4” duct) and DT6W (for 6” duct) insulated flexible duct work.

I have two (2) back to back bathrooms with fresh spray foam insulation. I prefer attaching both ventilation fans to one (1) roof vent

minimizing roof penetrations. Is the RVK1A capable of supporting two (2) individual fans?
    Asked by: Ron
Thank you for your question on bath and ventilation fans. We do not recommend venting two fans together in the same duct work. Please contact the Technical Service Department at 800-637-1453 for further assistance.

Is this product OK to use on low slope roofs?

Can I buy just the 4" diameter metal duct connector (which comes in the RVK1A kit) for use with the Model 636AL?

    Asked by: bjsalt
Thank you for your question on the model RVK1A roof cap kit. The four inch metal duct connector from the RVK1A is not available as a parts item. To use the 636AL roof cap, the duct work does not actually get connected to the roof cap. The duct work goes up through the roof and the 636 fits over the top of it. For further assistance, please contact our Technical Service Department at 800-637-1453.
