How do you recommend I clean the grease from the motor wheel?

I've had my range hood for going on six years and I love it! I've cleaned the filters before, but have never cleaned the wheel, but it really does need cleaning and it isn't obvious how to remove it. Do I clean it in place?
    Thanks very much.

Length of ductwork to the outside

    Customer avatar
    by
    diyer
Is there a maximum length of the ductwork between the hood and the outside vent? Can you describe the impact of increased distance and the number of 90 degree turns on the optimal operation of this hood? My installation would allow for the use of 3 1/4 X 14" duct, but it will have a number of 90 degree turns. It will vent vertically, then make a 90 to horizontal, then another 90 to vertical, 90 to horizontal and finally last 90 to vertical and a long run to the roof. Would the hood still provide good venting with that setup, or should I seek alternative options for venting?

    Answer:
Thank you for your question. The best performance is always the straight run of duct. Any 90 degree bend slows down the airflow. Increased duct length also decreases performance. In order to assist you better, please contact our Technical Support group at 800-637-1453.

    Answer:
Thank you for your question on the model E66130SS range hood. A maximum of 30’’ above the cook top is highly recommended for best capture of cooking impurities. Although your installation may not give you the absolute best capture of the cooking impurities, it is close enough to still do a good job.

    Answer:
Thank you for your question on the model E66130SS range hood. The E66130SS range hood requires two 120 volt, 50 watt maximum, type MR16, shielded halogen lamps with a GU10 base. We cannot recommend or suggest using any bulbs other than the ones listed in the installation instructions.
