How does this fit into the fan?

Does this have the two wires that are put up into the ceiling? Is there at least a half-inch clearance in the center of the grille for parts to fit? We bought a cover that was flush to the ceiling and our fan has hardware that comes out of the ceiling for about a half an inch. Thank you.

    Answer:
Thank you for your question. Our bath fans are designed to be installed with the bottom of the can flush with the finished side of the dry wall. When installed incorrectly the grille will not attach properly. Correct install is to: Squeeze grille springs together and insert into slots in motor plate. Push grille up against ceiling. Grille used on models (663,670,671, 675.688 and 689).

    Answer:
Thank you for your question on the BP20 grille. The part measures 10" X 10" x 1" and is attached with springs that are 6 1/4" apart. If this does not work in your application, feel free to contact Technical Service at 1-800-637-1453 with your model number.

    Measurement between spring clips?

A prior answer stated the spring clips on BP20 are 6 1/4 inches apart. Is that correct? At 10 x 10 overall size it would seem the distance between clips would be more like 8 1/4 or 8 1/2 inches apart? The fan I need a grille for has old cover looks very similar and is 10 x 10 with springs 8 1/2 apart... Don;t want to order this if really only 6 1/4 apart. Thanks.

Thank you for your question on the model BP20 bulk pack of exhaust fan grilles. You can get the BP20 grille through the “Shop for Parts” link at the top of our web site page. You would use part number 97006651. The current price is $7.30.

    Spring centers

This BP20 Grille is dimensionally correct for my fan but the spring centers are not. My fan has springs on approx. 7-9/16" centers and the BP20 springs are on 6-1/4" centers.
What part number do I order for the spring centers I need?

    Thank you,

    Answer:
Thank you for your question. In order to find the correct grille for your fan, we will need the model number of the actual unit. This should be located on a label, on the side of the fan housing. Once this is determined, please contact our Customer Service department at 800-558-1711 for pricing and availability. You may also order parts from the "Shop for Parts" section of our website.
