  • Will this hood work with a 7' ceiling

only have a 7' ceiling to work over kitchen island looking for a hood that will work with 30" clerance over cooking surface
    Asked by: Ruby
the specs say min 32" for the unit and min 24" above the range. That's 4'-8" needed above the range which is usually set around 3'. So the minimum ceiling height appears to be nominally 7'-8" although it may be more depending on the actual height of the top of your range.

    Halogen bulb

I own this unit. I want to replace the 12volt Halogen G4 bi-pin with 12 volt LED. I need to know the type of transformer that the hood use. Such as solid wound core or magnetic or electronic
    Asked by: CP
Thank you for your question on the model RM533604 range hood. The RM533604 requires the use of two halogen bulbs (Type G9, 120Volt, 25 Watt Max, G-9 Base). We only recommend that you use the type of bulb listed in the installation instructions for your range hood. Substituting a Light Emitting Diode (LED) for a Halogen bulb can be done and does not void the warranty, but it may produce less then satisfying results. Due to the higher heat generated by cooking, the lifespan of the bulb could be greatly shortened. Improper controls for the LED bulbs can also cause flickering in low light settings or even no light at all. Sometimes the LED replacement may not go off, staying on at a very low level even when the switch is off. Please contact the Technical Service Department at 800-637-1453 if you need further assistance.

What is the maximum height above the oven you can install this vent?

    Asked by: Newhomeowner
Thank you for your question on the model RM533004 range hood. For the best capture of cooking impurities, the bottom of the hood should be a minimum of 24 inches and a maximum of 30 inches above the cooking surface. The higher the hood is mounted above the cooking surface (over the 30 inch maximum) the less effective the hood becomes.
