I saw in a response that you recommended that the 1" side of the liner box go against the wall. This would would seem to go against common sense with respect to positioning the blower over the center of the cooking area for many ranges. It would seem that having the 6" side against the wall would result in the unit being better centered over the cooking area and thus better at capturing smoke and steam, or am I missing something?
Thank you for your question on the model LB30 custom range hood liner. The one inch side is designed to go to the back because that will normally line up properly with installed duct work. Please contact the Technical Service Department at 800-637-1453 if you need further assistance.

How do you know what components you need for a hood liner
lighting, vent??.... I am looking for a hood liner to go inside custom cabinet built range hood - decorative. I will have 30" radiant electric cook top and would like vents and lights. I am not sure what else you need, because I have never had one before. The vent can be vented directly out the back of the liner as it is on an outside wall.
Thank you for your question on kitchen ventilation systems. With a custom made hood, you would first find a range hood insert that you wanted to install. After you find the insert that you like, you would then either find the insert to use with it or have a custom insert made.
