Remote switch for Broan 41000 series range hood?
It appears that the switch with part number 97016971 is an internal switch for the Hood. We are looking to install this hood in an ADA compliant instance and need to be able for the user to control the hood functions (light and 2-speed fan) from a switch that is in reach down at the counter level. Please advise if this 68W switch will work for this senario, (perhaps only without the 2-speed fan control) and/or if the 97016971 switch can be installed seperate from the hood in a switch plate on the countertop, or if it is only an internal part to the hood.
Yes, you can use the model 68W or 68V wall control switch with the 41,000 series range hood. It must be wired to operate from a dedicated, standard electrical wall switch and be 15" to 48" above the floor. The control access should not require reaching over a cooking appliance.

Is this the correct dual control switch for model 766BN
We are remodeling our bathroom and just purchased this fan. It is gorgeous!! LOVE IT. It replaced our old Broan from the 70's - which was totally functional - BUT did not have a light. My husband installed it, but has it hooked up to the switch for the old fan. He told me we need a dual control switch so I can have only the light when I want it. Since I have to order online I want to make sure that this is the correct switch. If not please let me know what one I need to order. Thanks. Ps. this new fan is soooooo quiet.
The Broan 766BN does offer a ventilation fan and light fixture. If you wish to control these independently, you will need a two function switch. The Broan 68W in white or 68V in ivory would be the correct choice for your application.

Is the the 2-speed fan switch?
Is the the 2-speed fan switch for the Broan 41000 series range hood? It looks like it is, I just couldn't tell it if had the ability to switch between high, low and off, or if it was just two "on/off" switches.
Thank you for your question on the model 68W wall switch. The 68W is a wall switch used with bathroom exhaust fans. If you are looking for the two speed fan switch (in white) for the 41000 series range hood, you need part number 97016971. You can order this through the “Shop for Parts” link at the top of our web site page.
