Rated 5 out of 5 by Great piece of equipment! I love the simple yet effective design. I only wish there were a larger drip catcher on one side. August 21, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by I like all features of this product except for noise level at highest speed. I like the look and the product's simple and easy to use features. I especially like how the filtres are easy to remove and to clean. The only negative aspect is the loud noise when fan operates at the highest speed. I always have it on the second highest speed. Rated 5 out of 5 by Just what I needed Perfect for my 5-burner gas range with great lighting and effective fans. Fan screens are cleaned in the dishwasher, and I'm glad i made the investment in this vent. February 20, 2013

Thank you for your question on the model E64E30SS range hood. If the E64E30SS is currently ducted vertically and you want to change this to horizontal discharge, it can be done but may be difficult. Please contact the Technical Service Department at 800-637-1453 for assistance.

    internal blower vs external blower

    Customer avatar

I am considering a purchase of the E64E30SS Broan under cabinet hood.

I would replace the blower where the microwave currently exists. The microwave horizontally blows to the outside.

Do I need to vent both internal and external blowers for this model. I would like to just do a replacement and then vent to the outside. I am confused about the external and internal blowers, if i need to use them both and how to install correctly.

Could you please let me know how this would install properly and can i vent to the outside.

    Thank you,
    Kevin

    Answer:
Thank you for your question on the model E64E30SS range hood. The E6430SS (without the second E) range hood has an internal blower only. You would install ducting to the hood and vent it directly outside without any other blower. The E64E30SS does not have an internal blower and would need an additional in-line or externally mounted blower. The installation instructions for both units are available for download from our web site or you can contact the Technical Service Department at 800-637-1453 for further assistance.

Thank you for your question on the Broan E64E30SS range hood. The thermostat is located on the light bar inside the hood. You would need to remove the light panel to get to the heat sensor.
