Rated 5 out of 5 by from No Regrets! Not only do we love the vent hood it isn't easy to clean and it even has automatic sensors that turn the fan up when you're cooking at higher temps absolutely the best oven hood I've ever owned!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Features of Broan range hood I've really liked the brightness of the four lights.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really like this exhaust hood I had it installed by a contractor and there were no issues. The fan looks really nice (almost commercial like). You do have to be careful not to get fingerprints on the stainless steel. The lights are awesome, but I wish they were LED's. On the low setting it is so quiet, we have accidentally left it on overnight.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product Great features and everything works well. We wanted a quality range hood, and this is it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Horrible design - cheap materials You expect this product that sits above boiling water and hot grease to hang on 4 small screws. Hanging on flimsy screws is not the worst part. 2 of the screws are not reachable to tighten once the hood is slipped in place. Right back is blocked b the transformer and wires that could have easily come out the other side. Left front is blocked by fan and fan assembly. You have to put screw in crooked in order to tighten But that does not work with the slip notch design. Flimsy screws and then aluminum. If someone leans on this hood it is coming down. A high school student could design this better. Expensive for quality provided and then your installer will charge double due to design issues.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very good and does the job We like the hood. I have seen the auto heat sensor function when I had the fan on low and then it automatically switched to med speed due to the increase in the heat from the range burners and pan.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So so quiet! We purchased to replace a noisy range hood (which we hardly used) so noise level was very important to us. My hubby installed it himself but found it very cumbersome because of the weight of the unit so I would recommend 2 people to install it. Lighting is excellent! But, one light bulb has burnt out already! Other than that, I LOVE my range hood!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent product We had this installed so I don't know how easy it is to install yourself but my wife loves this! She loves how the lights slowly turn on and off as opposed to just on and off. Also loves the high suction. We think it is excellent noise level for such a high suction.

Can the halogen lights be replaced with LED lights?

    Asked by: Gaga L
I tried LED bulbs. Did not work. Low setting: they would not turn on. Med setting: They would flicker High setting: They would turn on....reluctantly. Guessing it has to do with the voltage levels across the bulbs. LEDs need a certain level to just turn on, whereas Halogens can handle a super low voltage. But, yes.. I really do not like the heat (and the yellow light) the halogens generate. They tend to yellow the white finish eventually. I am still looking into it, but it does not look hopefully about switching over to LED.

How do you turn off the lights? They automatically turn on at night.

    Asked by: GA
The unit comes with the ambient light sensor set to level 1 ON. This is the default. If you follow the directions on page 3 of your manual Clock settings > Display > Sleep Mode > Ambient Light Sensor then you will be able to change the Light Sensor to (AoFF). We had the same issue when the unit was first installed and it took us maybe a day to master the settings. Too bad that the installer did not run through the settings with us before he left.

How do you set the clock? How do you operate the lights?

The lights go on automatically when it gets dark in the kitchen. How do you prevent that?
    Asked by: RAD
This confused us at first also. Read instruction manual thoroughly and it explains how to dis-able this feature easily. Although if you lose electric it will automatically default to this setting. If you lost your manual go to Broan website to read or download another one.

    Why does the bottom slope?

The height of the hood is 6-1/2" where it makes contact with the front of the cabinet above. This is approximately 5/8" less that at the back of the hood. Consequently the bottom of the hood slopes up noticeably from back to front. Can the front of the hood be shimmed down so the bottom is level?
    Asked by: Bruce
I sure wish the dimensional drawing on this site would have indicated it was designed to slope. I very likely would have bought a different model. The hood looks for all the world like it was not installed level and it drives me crazy! It works great, but I may still shim it down and risk the wrath of the manufacturer LOL.
