Rated 5 out of 5 by Very nice! This is a very nice and stylish looking hood. It looks great in my stainless steel kitchen. It is not too large and does not intrude into the kitchen. It accents beautifully. May 4, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Nice Basic Hood I purchased this hood to replace an older one that failed. It was fairly easy to install. It helps at time to have another set of hands. The unit looks nice, has a light and 2 speed fan (High & Low). The High speed fan moves a good bit of air but is very loud. We try to avoid "High" unless absolutely necessary. We all sigh a breath of relief when we turn the fan off from the "high" setting. It would have been nice to have a "Medium" level, but for the money I guess that's too much to expect. Overall it's a nice basic fan with an attractive shell. Hopefully it will last for many years. January 28, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Baked enamel finish is excellent and easy to maintain. The hood size is generous and efficiently removes cooking odors and smoke. The exhaust fan and hood light work very well, and the filter is accessible and easy to clean. The enamel finish is not only attractive in the bisque color, but very easy to clean and maintain. When the need arises, I will be a return customer. December 22, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good one Our 423004( is a good quality workhorse. The multi level exhaust is versatile and works well. Fan low speeds are very quiet. We use the lower speeds for normal cooking and simmering. For roasting, broiling, searing, frying, and baking foods that smoke or give off odors, the higher speeds work well. The boost feature is great for smokey events that demand serious effort.... no need to worry about setting off a smoke alarm. Multiple light brightness levels are useful. The lights are appropriately very bright for cooking and appropriately low or very low, at our option, at other times. The automatic nightlight function is a useful feature. The 423004 is an easy to use, good quality, and highley functional product. The minimalistic styling is appealing and looks good in our traditional, open concept kitchen- dinning- family living space. The brushed stainless steel finish is acceptable but not quite as nice as we would prefer. The hood and filter screens are easy to clean. After more than 9 months of daily use, we are very pleased with our purchase. September 5, 2014

Rated 5 out of 5 by Great overall Like this product very much but I do get rattling of the damper when the wind blows. Not sure if that is product or my house? March 10, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by This product is efficient and very quiet. It was very easy to install. It works very well in removing odors and steam produced by the stove. It is very quiet so you do not have to yell to be heard above the sound of it. March 10, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Excellent product for price paid. The under cabinet fan works well in most circumstances but the fan is very noisey. March 10, 2014

Is this a replacement for my current Broan rangehood?

We have a ducted to the outside white Broan rangehood installed in 1997 or 1998. Prior to tiling a backsplash we want to install a new Broan hood [incandescent bulbs] that uses the same dimensions for ducts, etc.

    Answer:
Thank you for your question. The 42000 is a ducted range hood that uses 7” round duct. The 413004 is a non ducted range hood that you may also want to consider. Please contact our Technical Service department for further information at 800-637-1453
