Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poorly made This is a terrible product. It started rusting a few months after purchasing and now the screws are nearly completely rusted. The rust has also stained the glass. Would not recommend and will never buy a product from this company again.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Slide that hold the globe in place is stuck. We purchased and had this fixture professionally installed in 2014. Several months ago one of the originally installed light bulbs burned out. When I went to remove the glass globe, I could not get the release slide to move AT ALL! I tried using WD-40 as well as PB Breaker to loosen the spring loaded clip and only succeeded in filling the globe up with a greasy, nasty mass that - because I couldn't remove the globe to clean - had to stay in there for the time being. The brushed nickle decorative ring around the light assembly was also starting to rust pretty badly. I called Broan tech support to find out what a replacement globe was going to cost me as the only fix I could see was to smash the globe and try to loosen the spring clip without the glass in the way. I was pleasantly surprised and thrilled when Broan offered to send me an entire light assembly at NO COST! Even though I am less than thrilled with the design of this particular model, I am extremely happy with their customer service and for that reason alone I will purchase Broan products again in the future!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful functionality! Well done! I love this bathroom fan/light. It is not the typical plastic that is stuck to the ceiling. It's beautiful yet serves a function and functions well. I LOVE my new fan and highly recommend this product. Well done!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This product is good looking, and has good light The wife and I just purchased this bathroom fan/light, and installed it. So really haven't used it very long. But it is a good looking unit, seems plenty powerful enough and has good lighting compared to others we looked at. Installation went well, and so far we are really pleased with this purchase.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from looks great I bought the light/fan combo for my master bat remodel to be installed in the toilet area. The light looks great and the fan noise is quitter than what it replaced. The noise is the only reason it did not score a perfect 5.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great looking to replace two units Used it to replace a fan and light with one unit. The unit looks great, but the fan is a little loud, but not as loud as my old fan. It makes it a good replacement for my old two units it replaced.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Ran for only 2 years Had the Broan 766BN professionally installed in the hall bath in our new house 2 years ago. Today the fan makes horrible noises when it is started, and the motor stops after a minute or so. Pulled it to take a look, the bearings in the motor are out. I would expect that Broan wouldn't produce a fan that was so cheap that it won't make it to it's third year.

  • Purchase 764RB in Canada?

Can the 764RB be purchased in Canada? I don't see it at any of our hardware stores. Thanks.
    Asked by: Nicky
According to the Canadian office, this is not available to Canada. But strange that it's cUL listed (the c means Canada). I would have purchased this one.

is it possible to install this and make the fan and the light operate on different switches so I can have the light on and the fan off or Vice Versa?
    Asked by: Anonymous
Yes, there are two wires for power, black and blue inside the housing. One goes to one switch and one goes to the other switch. Make sure you understand concept of the switch wiring, but other than that its that simple. I can't remember which color wire was for the fan and which one is for the light, but it really doesn't make a difference except for knowing which switch operates the fan vs. the light.

    Looking for matching light

I just bought 754RB and would like to buy a flush mounted light that matches this fan/light combo. Does one exist without the fan? I've been searching and can't find anything to match this fan/light combo. I think I can find something similar, but the part that is on the bottom that holds the glass doesn't match the other lights. Can I purchase just the part that holds the glass and use it on a different light that I buy?
    Asked by: Anonymous
Go online and use the parts schematic and simply buy the parts for the light part. There are several wholesalers some of which you find through Amazon. You might look at the company catalog and see if its offered as a light only.

    What bulbs do I use???

I have ordered and purchased every type of candelabra base bulb, including the B-10 which is listed on the socket, and I cannot get the lights to turn on in this fixture. The line side of the socket has been tested and both sockets have power, the socket just doesn't match the bulb. I read the post about going to a specialty lighting shop. I have tried everything. Please give me a model and manufacturer.
    Asked by: Anonymous
I did have a B-10 socket go bad, but that was after about 8 years. I suspicion you have a wiring problem provided your bulbs are screwed in enough to make contact. If you have a more experienced friend that could take a look at it.
