  • QTR110L is rated 3.9 out of 5 by 11.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from It is 2014 and this fixture doesn't know it. It has been known for a long time that 100W incandescent bulbs were going the way of the dodo bird. Broan decided that it should still design products for 100W incandescent bulbs and nothing else. This fixture cannot handle a 100W-equivalent CFL or 100W-equivalent LED. They are too big for the fixture. These type of bulbs touch the nightlight - something that is probably not a good safe. Trying a 100W-equivalent halogen incandescent would probably melt the plastic. A 75W-equivalent LED fits, but, it is less light than a 100W bulb. I feel cheated by Broan since I cannot use the fixture with its full capability. If Broan wants to sell this fixture, it should include a lifetime supply of 100W bulbs. The 4W nightlight is just barely adequate once the plastic cover is put in place. The fan sound is acceptable and not too noisy.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good product, but... Unfortunately, after nearly 3 years, it's not working too well..I hope I won't have to replace it but I have a funny feeling that I might have to! I sure was hoping it would have lasted longer than this! The lighting is very good and up until recently, the fan worked well (because of flat paint and not semi-gloss paint being on my walls, I absolutely NEED a good fan to keep the walls from "sweating"). My bathroom fan gets used every day because of the long, hot showers easily fogging it up, then causing a lot of condensation on my walls. I can only give this product 3 stars now because of my current issues.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Bath Fan I'm completely remodeling the main bathroom in our 1920 home and I based my purchase for a ventilation fan on the cfm and sones ratings, as well as a reasonable price. This fan is fairly quiet despite the high volume of air and moisture it can move. It's not whisper quiet, but it's much, much better than other fans on the market. It took about 2 hrs. for my electrician to install, mainly because we were dealing with an old lath and plaster ceiling. He commented about the high quality of the fan, and said that Broan makes the best fans on the market. I can't take advantage of the night light feature on this fan since I did not run the wiring for it. I wish I had the fan picked out before I ran wiring. All in all, I recommend this fan for it's high quality and performance.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quite smooth performace. I enjoy my new fan every morning, quite running, and the 4" duct moves the air. Also enjoy the regular and a night night feature. I'am using LED bulbs in both.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice volume, fairly quiet Not as quiet as i would like because its near our kitchen, but compared to my other bathroom, it's a mouse!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great fan, very Quiet! Fan was fairly easy to install. Is very quiet and worth the extra money to get a quiet unit that still moves a good amount of air!

  • The damper sticks open allowing cold air into the room.

    Asked by: Vermilion
Thank you for your question on the model QTR110L exhaust fan/light/night light. The damper is a gravity fed damper and it is designed to stay part way open to help dry any moisture inside the duct work. If the damper is not freely moving and is stuck in one position, either something is bent or there is something obstructing the movement and would need to be corrected. Please contact the Technical Service Department at 800-637-1453 if you need further assistance.

What is the max duct length and recommended wall cap type?

What is the max duct length when installed with smooth rigid duct work? With flexible duct work? How do 90 & 45 degree elbows affect this length? What is the recommended wall cap type, louvered or flapper?
    Asked by: Ro
Thank you for your question on the model QTR110L exhaust fan/light/night light. The QTR110L will handle up to 13 feet of straight, four inch, rigid duct work. The addition of elbows will reduce that distance by four feet for each elbow. We do recommend that you use a roof or wall cap that has a built-in damper. Please contact the Technical Service Department at 800-637-1453 for further assistance.

Broan QTR110L (-A) Light Fixture Replacement parts?

I have a Broan QTRL110L (-A) and the light fixture has gone bad. Upon closer examination it looks the ground wire (green) and the black wire have possibly shorted out where they are connected within the small white plastic box. I'm guessing I need to replace the entire light/wiring portion. The fan still works. Is this possible? Heather

Did the wiring change on the replacement blower assembly?

Am replacing the blower assembly on the subject fan and the replacement part (PN# 97018218) has the same three wire connector (plug), but has what appears to be a capacitor in place of the third wire. Was this an enhancement to the blower? Photo attached.
