    Rated 4 out of 5 by Fan light unit held up well The fan / light unit has worked very well these past four years since installation with the only maintenance required cleaning dust from the grill. However, since it is only an 80 CFM unit we do get a fog build up in the bathroom while showering. I would recommend a larger CFM unit. February 20, 2013

    Answer: 
    Thank you for your question on the model QTR080L exhaust fan/light. This unit is designed to be attached directly to the ceiling joist. Installation is much easier if you have access from above (attic or crawl space). If you install this unit from below, you will need to make a larger hole in the ceiling than would normally be necessary and patch the ceiling after the installation.

    Thank you for your question on the QT and QTR model exhaust fans. The QT models are generally Energy Star rated whereas the QTR versions are not Energy Star rated.

    We do not have a user manual. The installation guide contains a Use and Care section that covers most of the information in operating the fan.

    The night light would be controlled by a switch. It would have to be wired to be operational.
