How do I interlock with my furnace?

I wired from the furnace to HRV per directions: R to NO and G to C. However the unit does not come on or go off with the furnace blower. The integrated control will turn unit and furnace blower both on but then they both just stay on. The wiring guide and troubleshooting table do not describe a situation like this. Is there a different wiring configuration that I should try? I just want the HRV to come on when the furnace comes on and go off when the furnace blower goes off.
