How do I interlock with my furnace?
I wired from the furnace to HRV per directions: R to NO and G to C. However the unit does not come on or go off with the furnace blower. The integrated control will turn unit and furnace blower both on but then they both just stay on. The wiring guide and troubleshooting table do not describe a situation like this. Is there a different wiring configuration that I should try? I just want the HRV to come on when the furnace comes on and go off when the furnace blower goes off.

shutting off unit when below zero.
if i shut off my unit(both intake and exhaust are connected to the fresh air return of my furnace), will the furnace fan, which i run 24/7, pull outside air in through the intake/exhaust vents? what are my options with it so cold out. the furnace fan is already recirculating the air through out the house.
Thank you for your question on the Broan HRV80T. When the Broan HRV80T is in the off position the dampers in the unit are in the closed position so no air will be able to come in or out of the HRV80T. If you further questions please contact Technical support directly at 800-637-1453.

can both intake and exhaust be run out of the same vent?
just had unit installed and they only used one hood to the outside.plus they used flex ducting for all intake and exhaust runs.
Thank you for your question on the Broan HRV80T. Yes, the intake and exhaust can be run on the same vent when using the tandem transition. The use of flex ducting is also acceptable. If you have further questions please contact Technical Support directly at 800-637-1453.

tandem transition vent,
how can you have intake and exhaust together in one, when your installation instructions show intake and exhaust vents have to be 6 feet apart? what makes the use of a tandem transition vent possible?
Thank you for your question on the Broan HRV80T. The tandem transition model TYIK1 can be used on any HRV unit that is less than 100cfm. This transition is a split transition. By this I mean it has a diverter built into the transition. One for stale air and one for fresh air. This transition is an accessory than can be used. This allows only one penetration through your wall. If you have any questions or concerns please call Technical Support directly at 800-637-1453.
