Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quiet and attractive This is a very good fan and quiet. We are using it as a home kitchen ceiling venting fan above an induction cooktop. And it seems to be working well. It is vented to the outside. Also purchased the filter for it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exactly as Shown and Described!!! This unit - I was so pleased when it arrived and I opened the box as it was exactly as advertised - fits perfectly into the exact space I had planned for it and I don't think I could have put a larger unit there (studs-wise). It is sooooo quiet and even with a 20' foot duct run through the attic to the exterior wall it opens the exit vent flap door outside all the way - full open - on full speed via the variable switch and even at its slowest speed at that distance it is open an inch. It shows me it is indeed moving air very well at all speeds!! I couldn't be more pleased. Couldn't be happier at the price of the product and the fellow who installed it was pleasently surprised too. Thank you very much.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great fan I purchased this fan to vent my garage and at the same time help ventilate the attic space. It does a great job and the installation was a snap. To avoid cutting holes in walls for wiring I used a wireless switch.

  • L300MG vs. L300KMG

What is the difference between the L300MG and the L300KMG. I assume the 'K' indicates this model is suitable for kitchen use, but what properties and/or features make that model unique for use in a kitchen?
    Asked by: CincyMark
Thank you for your question on the models L300MG and L300KMG exhaust fans. The “K” version is the unit that is approved for kitchen use and it would have a metal blower wheel inside of it. Please contact the Technical Service Department at 800-637-1453 for further assistance.

Can this fan be used in a residential home installed 9 feet above a range in a island? Is there a better option?

    Asked by: pete
Thank you for your question on the model L300KMG exhaust fan. The L300KMG can be used in a kitchen application, but your situation is not the most efficient way to evacuate the cooking impurities. The most efficient evacuation of cooking impurities would involve an actual hood located approximately 24 – 30 inches above the cooking surface. Please contact the Technical Service Department at 888-336-6151 for further assistance.
