  • The F40000 series provides installation flexibility with 4-way convertibility to fit virtually all applications. The hood is designed for under cabinet use and installs as 3-1/4 in. x 10 in. ducted opening with vertical or horizontal ducting; or 7 in. round vertical ducting or as non-ducted with air recirculation. The hood features a fan designed for years of trouble free service, an easy to clean grease filter, a protective lamp lens that distributes light evenly over the cook-top and control switches for fan speed and light activation.
    • Four-way convertible; installs ducted 3-1/4" x 10" (vertical and horizontal), 7" round (vertical) and non-ducted. Non-Ducted Filter sold separately - Model 41F
    • 160 CFM, 6.5 Sone (3-1/4" x 10" discharge) or 190 CFM (7" round discharge) performance – HVI 2100 Certified
    • Dishwasher-safe aluminum grease filter
    • Includes 3-1/4" x 10" damper/adapter and 7" round adapter
    • BP87 dampers sold separately

    Thank you for your question on the model F403604 range hood. This fan uses rocker switches for the fan and light. The fan has two speeds with a high speed of 160 CFM when vented with 3-1/4” x 10” duct work and 190 CFM when ducted with 7” round rigid duct work. This unit should be a little quieter when ducted to the outside.

    The range hood works fairly well -- for the price it's about what I expected. However, the noise is intense. My house is small, with an open floor plan, so the living room is very near the kitchen. I could not hear what my husband was saying to me. Also, there are speakers on top of the kitchen cabinets but I cannot hear music while I'm cooking.

    Thank you for the question on the model F403623 range hood. This range hood will have some noise associated with it. The fan produces 160CFM at between 6-6.5 sones depending on how the range hood is ducted. If you think the fan is unusually loud, please contact our Technical Service Department at 800-637-1453.

    Biscuit is lighter. Almond is the darker and yellower color.
