Rated 5 out of 5 by from Attractive and Useful Fan/Light We are so happy to finally have an attractive fan/light in our master bathroom. It works well and we're happy with our purchase. This bathroom in our 1988 house never had an exhaust fan before.

    Springs for this model

I have the 679L installed but the way it was installed it is not sticking out of the ceiling enough for the grille to be bolted on it. Is there a spring I can use instead to attach the grille and light cover? If so can you tell me what model or style I should get? Thanks

Thank you for your question on the model 679L exhaust fan/light. There is no option for a grille/lens assembly with springs for the 679L. The only grille/lens assembly available is the one that came with the unit. You will need to reinstall the 679L so the bottom of the unit housing is flush with the finished side of the ceiling.

    New Broan 679L fan

Just installed new fan. Seems to work quietly for awhile then gets louder. What do you think could be wrong ?
    Asked by: Anonymous
Thank you for your question on the 679L ventilation fan with light. You could check to make sure your damper on the fan is opening properly when the fan is on. We can also recommend checking the duct work and termination cap to make sure it is free and clear of any obstructions. If you have checked these and the issue is still taking place, please contact our Technical Support department directly at 800-637-1453.

    Model 679D/679F-D

Current fan housing unit has the plugs on the side and the current 679 model has the notch for the plugs in the corner. What model will go into my 679 housing unit and has the plugs on the side. Prefer not to have to replace the entire housing unit.

Thank you for your question on the model 679D/679F-D exhaust fan/light. The part number for the replacement fan assembly (motor mounting bracket, motor and blower wheel) would be 97006939 and the motor/blower wheel assembly would be part number 97008513. These can be purchased through the “Shop for Parts” link at the top of our web site page or through Customer Service at 800-558-1711.
