Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quiet and Efficient When renovating our main bathroom, we installed the Boran QTRE080FLT. Our contrator recommended this model to meet our needs for a quiet, attractive and efficient unit. We couldn't be more pleased with its quality and ease of installation.and most importantly, with its perfomance.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very quite, easy install. However fan motor initially tripped the faceless "Leviton 7590" GFCI protecting the lighting circuit in this master bathroom. Tripping of the GFCI only occurs when fan motor is switched off. Replaced Leviton 7590 and issue was reduced to 25%. Now customer states that 50% of the times the fan is switched off, the GFCI trips. Is this common?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent fan... And QUIET We installed this fan in our bathroom, as the old fan was not removing any of the moist/humid air from the shower. Sometimes, the mirror in the bedroom adjacent to our bathroom would even fog up. This fan is AMAZING. It is very, very quiet, I can't even hear it from the bedroom next to the bathroom, and it WORKS. The bathroom mirror doesn't even fog, even when my husband takes a long shower. The light is also nice and bright. We chose not to put a bulb in the nightlight portion of the light, since we have a skylight in our bedroom that generally provides sufficient illumination at night. Installation was a bit time-consuming (around two hours, though some of that time was patching the ceiling around the fixture, as the old fan was a different shape) and required access to our attic - this may be in part due to how the original bathroom fan was installed, but my husband reported that installation was a bit difficult. If you do not have access to the area above where you will install the fan, you may want to have a professional available to assist with installation, depending on how your existing exhaust fan/ductwork is configured.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Purchase Installed for about a week working great so far. Might need help installing if you are not very handy, and you are upgrading from smaller fan, more involved than just switching components from the same size fan. Make sure you are aware of your wiring and switches to ensure you have enough wiring and switches to accomodate all the features the unit has to offer, if not you will not be able to use the night light. Again not a showstopper but to some may make the decision to purchase this fan or not. Overall very happy with the purchase will make future purchases from this site.

  • Can the grille be painted the same color as the ceiling?

Looking at the photos, the grille doesn't look white. It looks more beige. The bathroom ceiling this is being used in will be a gray color. Can I paint the grille to match?
    Asked by: Tricia
Thank you for your question on the model QTRE110FLT exhaust fan/light/night light. There should be no problem painting the grille as long as it is primed properly. You may want to take the grille to a larger paint store to get their recommendations.

Does the fan run continuous or slowly power down to an off position?

    Asked by: Ken
Thank you for your question on the model QTRE110FLT exhaust fan/fluorescent light/night light. The exhaust fan will run as long as the wall switch is turned on. When the switch is turned off, the motor will not stop immediately, but will slow down to a stop.

Does this fan have a backdraft damper at the duct connection?

    Asked by: Paul
Yes it does, but we would also recommend using a roof/wall cap with a built in damper to help further reduce back drafts.

What is the H/P rating of the motor for the fan.

I have a digital timer switch I would like to use for this fan and it says the motor cannot be more than 1/6th H/P.

Replacement blower assembly, no ground wire, where can I purchase?

I bought replacement blower assembly because mines was working erratically, it did not come with green ground wire, like the one I am replacing, where do I get ground wire? Additionally, the damper (round flimsy rubber circle) fell out when I removed the old blower assembly, how do I put it back? Is it supposed to be snug, or move freely? Thanks!
