  • The QS1 Series Range Hoods are the quietest in their category and deliver the brilliance of halogen lighting to your cook top. Their quiet nature is due to the fan’s unique axial blade technology. You’ll be able to carry on a conversation while cooking without asking your family to repeat themselves.

    • Brushed stainless steel construction is durable, easy to clean and a perfect match to your other stainless appliances
    • High-contrast, black controls stand out for ease of use
    • 30” width to fit with like-size, standard cook tops and cabinetry. Proper sizing provides effective ventilation
    • Rated at 1.5 sones on Normal speed, the QS1 is over 50% quieter than the typical range hood in its class. The 220 CFM fan provides effective ventilation and you won’t have to turn up the volume to hear your favorite song while cooking
    • Two-speed rocker control gives you convenient command of Normal and High fan speeds. Use the quiet, Normal, setting for average cooking conditions and switch to High to quickly remove unwanted cooking aromas
    • Twin halogen light system designed for bulbs up to 50 W,(PAR20 bulbs not included), can be adjusted to two levels with the front soft-touch push buttons. They provide bright, soft or ambient illumination for impressive lighting over the cook top and surrounding area. Enjoy the clear advantage of seeing what you are cooking
    • Two dishwasher-safe, aluminum grease filters are engineered to remove airborne particles efficiently and clean up easily to keep your range hood operating at peak efficiency (For non-duct option use charcoal filter, Model BPSF30, sold separately)
    • Clean SenseTM charcoal filters (BPSF30, sold separately) have an indicator that changes color when replacement is necessary for an easy maintenance reminder (non-ducted installation only)
    • Easy installation with keyhole mounting slots, connector/backdraft dampers and four ducting options provide simple flexibility
      • 3 1/4” x 10” vertical discharge
      • 3 1/4” x 10” horizontal discharge
      • 7” round, vertical discharge
      • Non-ducted recirculation requires two Clean SenseTM charcoal filters, BPSF30, sold separately
    • Includes adjustable duct connectors to accommodate off-center ductwork and make installation a snap
    • Permanently lubricated fan motor is designed for years of trouble-free service
    • UL listed for safety and HVI certified to ensure confidence in performance ratings
    • Can work in an ADA Compliant situation when wired to operate from a dedicated, standard 2-rocker or 3-rocker wall switch to turn the hood on or off. See Additional Information above.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't waste your money. It does little to nothing to remove odors. The halogen bulbs, which are NOT cheap, burn out every three months, and you can't replace them with LED's. It's cheap, flimsy, inefficient, expensive to operate for all the bulbs you are replacing, and you'd really be better off just hanging a flashlight over the range and shoving a box fan in your kitchen window. This piece of garbage is worse than useless.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sleek I went from a downdraft range to a new range that needed a hood. I am so happy with the performance of this hood. Works 100% well and the styling is sleek and perfect. Highly recommend. Fan is quiet, even on high.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Still water dripping from the top during pasta cooking I use it like I am supposed to do, but when I am cooking pasta for example, condense water is still dripping from the top and can end up in your pot. Not so good. Installing was a hassle, but my husband had to do it by himself, so that might have something do to with it. I still hit my head on it occasionally, but this is not Broan's fault but kitchen designers. The sound level on low is nice, but not very effective, on high better but very loud. Lights are nice, I usually use just one of them.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very good product overall for the money. Overall I'm very happy with this product, 1 minor issue, the fan seems a little out of balance at times it makes the lights vibrate slightly. I would also recommend doing away with the light bulbs called for and have the manufacturer change them to LED. They get very hot and can cause burns if touched.

My unit is recirculating exhaust out of the grill on top. What needs to be done to have it exhaust outside?

    Asked by: Bill
You need to make sure you have a vent going up to the roof or outside wall to exhaust. Some stove vents only recirculate exhaust especially on track houses. So basically all it does is spit the smoke and exhaust back into the house. I know this because our last house did that. You'll need to call a reputable contractor to fix it.
