HRV100H Unite VT1W Control - Won't stay running
HRV100H unit will run for 10mins sometimes longer and stop whether switched on manual or remote but wont come on again til unplug and replug. What could be the matter?
Just a follow-up. I talked with Broan's Tech Service Dept. and they said it sounds like the thermistor is going. Its abt a $30part. I decided to clean it. There was quite a buildup of crud and so far so good its working. If it stops in the near future I will know it needs to be changed out. My unit won't turn on
I have checked the outlet and there appears to be no problem but the unit wont start.
Any trouble shooting ideas?

Does Broan make any HRV or BV that comply with the "Buy American Act"?
I'm working on a federaly funded project that has to comply with Buy American.

Does this model - HRV200H - freeze up in cold temperatures?
We were told to set this model to a timer so it runs for 15 minutes on and 15 minutes off to prevent the air intake part from freezing. This doesn't seem to provide adequate ventilation. Suggestions? We are located at 9,000 ft; with winter temps down to -30. Dry climate, lots of snow. House is 3,500 SF
Thank you for your question on the model HRV200H heat recovery ventilator system. The HRV200H has a built in schedule to defrost the interior. As long as it is installed per our instructions you can run the ventilator as much as you like and it will defrost itself. Please see your manual for more information. The 15 minutes off/on will shorten the damper motor life. Please contact the Technical Service Department at 800-637-1453 for assistance.
