Rated 1 out of 5 by Works great in the summer, but too much cold air comes in the winter Wanting a good exhaust fan, this was purchased and installed in May. Now that it is winter in Ohio, the grate had removed and the opening is covered in wide packing tape to prevent the cold air from coming in. We removed the piece inside with the damper, which neither closes tightly or remains cold. We took it back the hardware store to see if it was defective - they said no that was the design of the damper. Even when closed, there is an area all the way around on the inside where you can see daylight - it is not sealed with foam like kitchen exhaust fans are. At one point there was an icicle hanging from the grate before we removed it and sealed it. I wish I would never have changed the fan. February 6, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by So Quiet couldn't hear it & CFM 140 No Fog on Mirror So Quiet couldn't hear it & CFM 140 No Fog on Mirror. Little pricey, $135.00 and installed in 2 hours in attic. Looking to buy 2 more if I can get question answered about installing basement bathrooms with finished drywall and i-joist installation instructions. February 26, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Very quiet and does a great job. Very quiet and powerful. Would buy the same thing again. February 6, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Outstanding product Due to constant moisture in my master bathroom, I switched out the builder-installed ventilation fan for a Broan. It has made such a difference that I have had one placed in my other two bathrooms as well. The fan is quiet, efficient, and has definitly proven worth the money. I can highly recommend the Broan QTR140…it has made a difference in my home. February 6, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Moves large volume of air Average to install with all parts included. Moves large volume of air. Good quality and expect many years service. May 7, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by This product really made a differance I did have this installed by a professional. He said he had no problem and we did not use the four inch reducer. We had this for several months now and you can barely hear the motor is on. Liked the night light option as well. March 10, 2014

I assume these are 115 volt, single phase fans but I cannot find that information in any of the documentation. Please clarify.

    Answer:
Thank you for your question on the model QTR110 exhaust fan. The QTR110 is designed for use in the U.S. with standard 120 VAC house line voltage. The installation instructions and spec sheets do show that the unit uses 120 VAC line voltage. Please contact the Technical Service Department at 800-637-1453 for further assistance.

    Answer:
Thank you for your question on the model QTR080 exhaust fan. Using four inch rigid duct work, the QTR080 will handle up to 23 feet of straight duct work. You would need to reduce that distance by four feet for every elbow.

Wiring is already installed for the fan/light combo. The light wire is capped in the electrical box of the fan. I'm assuming I'd have to swap the connector/plug assembly of the old QTR110 with the one that comes with the QTR110L.
I notice from the spec's that the housings are the same dimensions, but the 110L grille is slightly smaller.

    Answer:
Thank you for your question on the model QTR110 exhaust fan. The only parts we can suggest or recommend for the QTR110 are the original replacement parts. If you need a unit with a light, you would need to replace the QTR110 with another model. Please contact the Technical Service Department at 800-637-1453 for further assistance.
