BROAN ULTRA GREEN™ Series Fans deliver everything you wished for in a bath fan – premium ventilation to help reduce airborne pollutants, extremely quiet operation, energy efficiency, consistent power and most impressively, the fastest, easiest, most universal installation available. These fans are ideal for both spot ventilation in humid bathrooms, as well as continuous ventilation to meet various building codes and Green Building standards around the United States.

    • 110 CFM reduces humidity to quickly eliminate fogged mirrors and manage moisture in bathrooms up to 100 square feet, so your vision will always be clear and your surroundings will always be comfortable
    • ULTRASilent™ Sound Technology results in operation at less than 0.3 Sones – the quietest sound rating attainable -- for an environment that is so quiet, you’ll likely forget the fan is on
    • ULTRAQuick™ Installation Technology uses an exclusive telescoping mounting frame with pre-installed screws, snap-in housing, snap-in blower and an inside-out mounting duct connector that are the fastest, easiest, most universal installation
    • Retrofit installations can be done entirely from the room-side – no attic access required. This means a faster, easier installation, so you can move on to something else
    • Unique telescoping mounting frame can be placed and fastened through drywall hole because it expands from 14” to 24” and fits any type of joist, I-Joist or truss construction for a “no guesswork” installation to make the work fast and easy
    • Snap-in housing and blower further simplify installation since you can hear – and feel – when they are properly seated. Easy-to-position carriage allows housing location adjustment between joists so you can control the correct ceiling placement
    • ULTRASmart™ DC Motor & Control Technology provides energy efficiency almost 10 times greater than ENERGY STAR® requirements and maintains rated power (CFM) in nearly every installation. You have confidence you’re getting the expected performance and won’t even notice the fan usage on your utility bill
    • UL Listed for use over tubs and showers with a GFCI circuit; so you can capture the steam before it spreads throughout the room by locating your fan exactly where you need it the most
    • Compatible with Radiation Damper RDFU which helps prevent flame and heat from spreading to other areas in multi-level buildings
    • Can be used to comply with ASHRAE 62.2 and CALGreen

Rated 4 out of 5 by from very good fan nice and quiet I agree with the other ratings except with mine when its windy the flap on the fan outlet bounces (and raps the side) with the wind. I'm going to take it apart to see if i missed something when I installed it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great fan This was replacement for 15 year old fan. The fan was easy to install. Hardest part was removing old unit. Works great clearing the humidity from a moderate size bathroom (about 12 x12 with 10' ceiling) in no time. Also very quiet. Not not so quite that you forget it is on as I saw in some reviews.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from XB80 Very Quiet The contractor installed this XB80 Model without any issues. He used 6 inch solid metal duct. This unit is so quiet it can barely be heard. It looks nice, and works very well. Would highly recommend to others!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from This product does a good job of removing steam/moisture from the bathroom I would definitely recommend this product. It efficiently removes steam and moisture from the bathroom it is less noisy than my previous, less expensive fan, but not as quiet as I expected. There is a slight delay from turning on the fan to when it actually starts up, but doesn't affect its overall performance. I had someone install this for me and he didn't seem to have any difficulty with installation. Overall a good product for the money.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not as easy to install as advertised I will bet if you had 16 inch center rafters it would be as easy as advertised. I have 20 inch center rafters and it was much easier to install in the attic. Also, I needed to purchase a 4-6 inch HVAC adapter to hook into existing 4 inch duct. Oh and by the way HVAC foil tape will not stick to the included 6 inch duct adapter. I had to use a bunch of the best duct tape from Lowes and a lot of it to ensure no leaks in the future.

    Are the motors brushless ,

Would like to use in a hobby paint booth , what type of Motor,, brushless ??
    Asked by: Mtcoop1
I'm thinking it would have to be brushless or there would be maintenance parts. It is probably induction. One thing for sure, it is quiet.

how do you remove the grille?

(i did not install it; don't want to break it by just yanking it off)
    Asked by: rompersuncle
Thank you for your question on the model XB110 exhaust fan. The grille is held in place by butterfly springs. You should be able to pull straight down on the grille and it should come down a couple of inches. You would then reach around the grille and squeeze the springs together to totally remove it. Please contact the Technical Service Department at 800-637-1453 if you need further assistance.

will snow covering the roof cap affect the preformance of the XB110

    Asked by: ken
Thank you for your question on the model XB110 exhaust fan. Any time you have snow covering a roof cap, it is going to stop the flow of air and act like the duct work is completely closed off. In that situation the fan will not be effective.
