To learn more about this revolutionary new product and how you can install it up to 60% faster in retrofits and up to 20% faster in new construction, CLICK HERE.

BROAN ULTRA GREEN™ Series Fans deliver everything you wished for in a bath fan – premium ventilation to help reduce airborne pollutants, extremely quiet operation, energy efficiency, consistent power and most impressively, the fastest, easiest, most universal installation available. These fans are ideal for both spot ventilation in humid bathrooms, as well as continuous ventilation to meet various building codes and Green Building standards around the United States.

    • 110 CFM reduces humidity to quickly eliminate fogged mirrors and manage moisture in bathrooms up to 100 square feet, so your vision will always be clear and your surroundings will always be comfortable
    • ULTRASilent™ Sound Technology results in operation at less than 0.3 Sones – the quietest sound rating attainable -- for an environment that is so quiet, you’ll likely forget the fan is on
    • ULTRAQuick™ Installation Technology uses an exclusive telescoping mounting frame with pre-installed screws, snap-in housing, snap-in blower and an inside-out mounting duct connector making installation up to 60% faster in retrofits and up to 20% faster in new construction, saving you time, money and aggravation
    • Retrofit installations can be done entirely from the room-side – no attic access required. This means a faster, easier installation, so you can move on to something else
    • Unique telescoping mounting frame can be placed and fastened through drywall hole because it expands from 14” to 24” and fits any type of joist, I-Joist or truss construction for a “no guesswork” installation to make the work fast and easy
    • Snap-in housing and blower further simplify installation since you can hear – and feel – when they are properly seated. Easy-to-position carriage allows housing location adjustment between joists so you can control the correct ceiling placement
    • ULTRASmart™ DC Motor & Control Technology provides energy efficiency almost 10 times greater than ENERGY STAR® requirements and maintains rated power (CFM) in nearly every installation. You have confidence you’re getting the expected performance and won’t even notice the fan usage on your utility bill
    • UL Listed for use over tubs and showers with a GFCI circuit; so you can capture the steam before it spreads throughout the room by locating your fan exactly where you need it the most
    • Compatible with Radiation Damper RDFU which helps prevent flame and heat from spreading to other areas in multi-level buildings

Rated 4 out of 5 by Not as easy to install as advertised I will bet if you had 16 inch center rafters it would be as easy as advertised. I have 20 inch center rafters and it was much easier to install in the attic. Also, I needed to purchase a 4-6 inch HVAC adapter to hook into existing 4 inch duct. Oh and by the way HVAC foil tape will not stick to the included 6 inch duct adapter. I had to use a bunch of the best duct tape from Lowes and a lot of it to ensure no leaks in the future. Looking for replacement for Broan S80U-A

     on XB110
I would like to replace my existing Broan fan S80U-A with a model that would fit into space without major construction work. Preferable the replacement model would have CFM higher than 80. I chose XB110 but I'm not sure if it would be the best fit for my space. Any helpful suggestions appreciated.

    Answer:
Thank you for your question on the model S80U exhaust fan. You can use the XB80 or XB110 to replace the S80U, but you would need to enlarge the hole in the ceiling. With the XB110 you would also need to enlarge the duct work from four inch to six inch. Please contact the Technical Service Department at 800-637-1453 for further assistance.

    Answer:
Thank you for your question on the model XB50 exhaust fan. The XB50 will adjust the speed of the motor if it recognizes a restriction in the air flow leaving the unit. You should check the duct work for some sort of restriction. Please contact the Technical Service Department at 800-637-1453 if you need further assistance.

Can I purchase a new 50 cfm single speed fan and plug it in the old connection?

This fan is in a small powder room in a 35 year old home and probably was installed as code due to no window. The motor appears to be burned out...although something is turning in the box, but the fan is not rotating. Can I just remove the motor/fan/connectors and install the new fan in the existing box so I don't have to cut the drywall and reinstall fully and repair and paint and texture the dry wall? Thanks for a speedy comment! L. Tyler

    Answer:
Thank you for your question on the bath and ventilation fans. The only parts that are going to work in your current unit housing would be the original replacement parts. If you can get the model number of your current unit, you can use the “Shop for Parts” link at the top of our web site page to see what parts are available for it. The XB50 is designed to replace old exhaust fans from the room side (without going into the attic) but you would need to completely remove the old unit before installing the XB50.

    Answer:
Thank you for your question on the model XB80 exhaust fan. Using six inch rigid duct work you can run over 100 feet straight. You would need to reduce that distance by six feet for every elbow installed. You would not be able to use four inch duct work for this installation.
