    How many inches is this light from the ceiling to it's lowest point below the ceiling? I know the spec sheet says a little over 4 inches but it looks more like 6 or 7 when looking at the picture.

    Thank you for your question on the model 764RB exhaust fan/light. This unit is designed to be installed with 2 x 6 construction. To use it with 2 x 4 construction, you would need to add additional framing.

    Does this have to be hooked up to a double switch?

    Answer: 
    Thank you for your question on the model 761RB exhaust fan light. To wire this unit to a single switch you would connect the bare ground wire from the house to the green ground screw inside the 761. You would connect the white neutral wire from the house to the two white wires inside the 761. You would then connect the black power wire from the wall switch to the black and blue wire from the 761. If you have further questions please contact our Technical Service Department 800-637-1453.
