Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent performance, features Humidity sensing and turn off timer are excellent features, both adjustable, work as advertised, and provide exceptional ease of use. The unit is so quiet it is very helpful it turns itself off. The one thing I would consider doing differently is sizing it better for my bathroom. I bought the 110CFM for my 65 square feet which is a little over kill. I probably should have used a smaller fan and could have used a 4" duct rather than 6". I will definitely buy another Broan sensing for my next bathroom remodel. April 2, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by wonderful product This fan comes in when needed without any issues. It was worth every dime. March 22, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great Value Installed in bathroom that has no windows - so exhaust was a must.....We installed this fan with a humidity sensor switch that completes the ease of use for this product. March 11, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Lives up to its billing Light bleeding through air vents was not expected and is annoying . Night light burns constantly was not expected. Disappointing. February 20, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Humidity function has never worked. Exhaust fan works fine but nothing we have done has gotten the humidity function to work. We could have gotten a much less expensive exhaust fan. We got a different Broan fan for the guest bath. We love it. It has a heater, exhaust, light, and night light. Heats quickly and exhausts well. Rated 5 out of 5 by Great for a busy family We had this professionally installed, but they had no problems installing it. Love the automatic humidity sensor! No more yelling at the kids to turn the fan on and the night light feature is great for the middle of the night bathroom trips! Very happy with this product! February 20, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by great fan for the price. This fan moves a lot of air and is surprisingly quiet. February 21, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by More noise than I expected. Purchased expecting to be very quiet for the price. Much louder than expected after it was installed. Choose to install one fan mounted vertically. Manufacturer said the fan would not be covered by warranty if installed that way. Not that it would fail. Simply because it was never tested that way per the tech that I talked to. Cheaper fan that I had was not much louder. It does evacuate moisture and smell with in 3-4 minutes. February 21, 2013

Thank you for your question on the model QTXE110S humidity sensing exhaust fan. The QTXE110S is designed to be installed in flat ceilings only. We do not recommend using this unit in sloped ceilings.

    Humidity sensor adjustment

Just moved in to brand new apartment with this fan. It is very quiet though you can still hear it when it runs. It does turn on during showers.
My issue is it also turns on at other times of the day when a shower hasn't been taken since yesterday and no other moisture generation is occurring. I checked the humidity setting and it was near 80%. I turned it to a higher setting thinking it would stop turning at it highest point. Is it possible for the screw to be turned it up too much or just go around to a lower setting? It appears there is an arrow on the plastic screw. Is that correct?
After I adjusted it ran for a long time and turned off. After a few minutes is turned back on. It seems I have made it worse and now runs more often.
Any suggests on keeping the fan from running at off times would be helpful. The AC is running in the apartment

I do not understand how I would control the fan using a two function switch. Is this a normal three way switch such as used for controlling lights from two switches?

    Answer:
Thank you for your question on the model QTRE100S humidity sensing exhaust fan. Utilitech is a different manufacturer and would not be the same product as the QTRE100S.
