  • Rated 4.1 out of 5 by 11 reviewers.
Rated 4 out of 5 by Excellent fan, but a bit sensitive to ambient humidity I purchased this for it's noise level and humidity sensor because I did not have the wiring to add an independent timer. Generally this unit works very well and it is nice not having to remember to flip a switch as it automatically turns on when the humidity increases from the shower. However, on really humid days, the ambient humidity in the attic/exhaust vent duct is enough to trip the humidity sensor and turn on the fan. This becomes problematic in the summer when the unit keeps turning on and evacuating air conditioned air. February 7, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good Value The unit was easy to install at a decent price. The settings are a nice feature that you can customize when it comes on & how long it runs for. It's more than just a blower you turn on & off. A lot quieter than the unit it replaced. February 7, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by I love my new bathroom fan. Works fine, love the moisture sensing feature, looks good. February 6, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent performance, features Humidity sensing and turn off timer are excellent features, both adjustable, work as advertised, and provide exceptional ease of use. The unit is so quiet it is very helpful it turns itself off. The one thing I would consider doing differently is sizing it better for my bathroom. I bought the 110CFM for my 65 square feet which is a little over kill. I probably should have used a smaller fan and could have used a 4" duct rather than 6". I will definitely buy another Broan sensing for my next bathroom remodel. April 2, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by wonderful product This fan comes in when needed without any issues. It was worth every dime. March 22, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great Value Installed in bathroom that has no windows - so exhaust was a must.....We installed this fan with a humidity sensor switch that completes the ease of use for this product. March 11, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Lives up to its billing Light bleeding through air vents was not expected and is annoying . Night light burns constantly was not expected. Disappointing. February 20, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Humidity function has never worked. Exhaust fan works fine but nothing we have done has gotten the humidity function to work. We could have gotten a much less expensive exhaust fan. We got a different Broan fan for the guest bath. We love it. It has a heater, exhaust, light, and night light. Heats quickly and exhausts well. I plan on having one wall switch control both the light and the fan in the bathroom. In CA a vacancy sensor switch is required for bathroom lights.

    Answer:
Thank you for your question on the model QTXE110S humidity sensing exhaust fan. If you are only using one switch to operate the fan and light together, you would not be able to use a vacancy sensor. The humidity sensor needs to be wired independently and always connected to the house voltage to operate correctly. Please contact the Technical Service Department at 800-637-1453 if you need further assistance.

The wiring has been checked by the electrician and the wall switch is wired to the brown wire. This is a new construction 7/2/2015 and since they were installed I've had this issue. The humidity sensing module has 2 adjustments on it and would like more information on how to set up these units. I have contacted the tech support and I was sent the owners manual to checked there wiring.

    Answer:
Thank you for your question on the model QTRE100S humidity sensing exhaust fan. If you are using one switch and it is connected to the brown wire and not the orange wire, the humidity sensor should control the fan. If the fan is running continuously and will not shut off, the humidity sensor is either not set high enough or there is a defect in the control. Please contact the Technical Service Department at 800-637-1453 for further assistance.

Thank you for your question on the Bluetooth Sensonic speaker. The Bluetooth Sensonic speaker would not be compatible with the QTRE100S.

    Answer:
Thank you for your question on the model QTRE100S humidity sensing exhaust fan. Although the QTRE100S is designed for continuous operation, using this fan for the IAQ requirements would mean that the fan would be operating at 100 CFM at all times. The better similar unit to use is the ZB110H. Please contact the Technical Service Department at 800-637-1453 if you need further assistance.
