  • How do you remove power unit for cleaning or service

    Asked by: Anonymous
To clean fan assembly: Unplug fan assembly. To remove motor plate: Find the single tab on the motor plate (located next to the receptacle). Push up near motor plate tab while pushing out on side of housing. Or insert a straight-blade screwdriver into slot in housing (next to tab) and twist screwdriver. Gently vacuum fan, motor and interior of housing. METAL AND ELECTRICAL PARTS SHOULD NEVER BE IMMERSED IN WATER.

Thank you for your question on the model 2684F finish kit. The motor assembly can be completely removed from the housing. First, unplug the motor assembly. Next, to remove the motor plate, find the single tab on the motor plate located next to the receptacle. Push up near motor plate tab while pushing out on side of housing. You can also insert a straight-blade screwdriver into slot in housing next to the tab and twist the screwdriver. This will allow you to completely remove the motor assembly from the housing.
