  • Broan high capacity fans are an exceptionally quiet solution to continuous ventilation. With their heavy-duty motors, high capacity fans are an ideal solution for conference rooms, public restrooms and other areas in commercial buildings that require ongoing ventilation. Low-vibration and lo-profile, they work quietly without getting noticed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very good quality product Purchased this for an exhaust fan for the kitchen. It is fairly heavy so I had to brace the ceiling a bit but well worth it. This fan is extremely quiet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works great The recirculating exhaust fan under the over the stove microwave did not help at all for smokey or steamy situations. I put the Broan 265 in the ceiling over the stove and ran the vent out the vent in the front of the house. It works great. Much quieter than the microvave exhause fan.I would recommend ti for any situation that needs to move air quietly.

Can the exhaust duct be reduced to use an existing 4in wall cap?

    Asked by: DD
Thank you for your question on the L300KMG. This model uses an 8" round duct size. We would not recommend reducing this duct size to a 4". Please contact our Technical Support if you have further questions at 800-637-1453.

Can this fan be used in a residential home installed 9 feet above a range in a island? Is there a better option?

    Asked by: pete
Thank you for your question on the model L300KMG exhaust fan. The L300KMG can be used in a kitchen application, but your situation is not the most efficient way to evacuate the cooking impurities. The most efficient evacuation of cooking impurities would involve an actual hood located approximately 24 – 30 inches above the cooking surface. Please contact the Technical Service Department at 888-336-6151 for further assistance.

    L300MG vs. L300KMG

What is the difference between the L300MG and the L300KMG. I assume the 'K' indicates this model is suitable for kitchen use, but what properties and/or features make that model unique for use in a kitchen?
    Asked by: CincyMark
Thank you for your question on the models L300MG and L300KMG exhaust fans. The “K” version is the unit that is approved for kitchen use and it would have a metal blower wheel inside of it. Please contact the Technical Service Department at 800-637-1453 for further assistance.
