Rated 5 out of 5 by Gets it done! The throguh the wall fan moves the air just as I hoped. September 5, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Not very impressed We are going on our 3rd motor for this unit. We use it to move air from our livingroom where the woodstove is and the rest of the house. January 5, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by works great the variable speed is awesome. overpowered if anything. you can turn on full blast or at a slower quieter speed. fully removes all hot moist air from laundry/bath room. con-we have it installed between 2 bathrooms and you can see from one room to the other, needs some kind of screen to stop see through the vents are a little cheap but as long as they aren't messed with should be fine FYI I installed it in a 12" wall with some homemade venting. I just took a sheet of sheet metal and cut it to make a box within the wall and then popped in the fan. took about an hour. January 18, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by THIS PRODUCT DOES AN EXCELLENT JOB OF MOVING AIR I USE THIS FAN TO MOVE WARM AIR FROM MY DEN WHICH IS HEATED BY A GAS LOG STOVE,TO THE OTHER ROOMS OF MY HOUSE. IT DOES AN EXCELLENT JOB AND IS VERY QUIET. THE DESIGN LOOKS NICE AND IS VERY EASY TO CLEAN AS NEEDED. February 21, 2013

I have a wine cellar where the through the wall cooling unit is dumping the warm air into a living space. I would like to dump some of that warm air into an unfinished space. The cooling unit is not on 100% of the time so the fan would not need to be on 100% of the time.

Is the 510 fan a suitable replacement for a 511A?

I have two 511A fans mounted in a plywood frame in a double-hung kitchen window that were installed in my NYC apartment in 1989. They have never really pulled smoke out of my galley kitchen. Could I replace one of the fans with a new 510 and seal the second space? Are there any obstacles you can think of?

    Answer:
Thank you for your question on the models 510 and 511. The 511 is an 8" room-to-room fan and the 510 is a 10" room-to-room fan. The sizes of these units are different. You can view the specifications on our website for each model. These are not exhaust fans, but fans that move air from one room to the next room. If you need an exhaust fan, you may want to look at the 508 or 509/509S as a replacement.

Thank you for your question on the model 510 room to room exhaust fan. The 510 includes an on/off switch with a speed control. You do not need a separate wall control for this unit.
